Raijin POV

Hearing muffled screaming behind me, I looked back and saw that shrine bitch fainted because of something that was on the towel that was pressed against her nose by Emica. Our eyes met, feeling disgusted at what she was doing at the moment, I forced myself to look away from her in a snap.

“Oh man! I hope I didn’t get brain damage! Does this happen often when you spar? Guess that’s why you’re so braindead!” The masked bitch staggered to stand, wiping the sweat off her chin and snickered.

“Shut… The fuck up…-” I paused, gasping for air. The pain from the limbs was made worse the more I moved the muscles around my torso.

“You know, Raijin, you are the least dangerous person that is against me. After years and years of this feeling of revenge turning into entertainment, no one has ever made me feel irritated. And yet, somehow one of the people that should have been so predictable had made me feel it.” She stepped in front of me, releasing the tentacle back into the ground and making me drop on the ground. Moaning in pain, I was drowning in my own tears. The fuck did she mean? I would think about her words more, but the exhausting pain of blood seeping out of both sides of my shoulders stopped that.

“And yet here you are! In front of me! Not Nikami, not Yasachu, not even one of the stronger senpai’s! You, out of everyone, are standing right in front of me. Or I guess lying down in your own blood while whining like a little bitch.” She scoffed, rubbing her bruise and crouched down to stare at my eyes.

“At the start, you were so so so easy to be swayed by dark magic. You are the most impulsive and STUPID out of everyone! You were… So predictable… Yet why are you the one immune to emotional manipulation? Aha, not only that, you were giving her HOPE! Hope that I was supposed to give her! The only reason why she keeps sticking to you is that she thinks she can be saved without the use of violence.” She snapped, kicking me in the stomach and made me lay on my back. The pain was deafening, I could barely make out any of the words that were used against me.

“But no matter how much a fire engulfs, it will never come close to the sun! Ahahahahahaha!” She cackled, with a large grin that filled up half of her face, opening her arms.

I paid attention to Nikami, seeing her tonguing the shit out of Yasachu. Why is she doing that? Doesn’t she love me? Why is she making such a loving expression for her that she has never directed towards me? Wait, did I really forget she just dated me for the sake of not going insane because of the real Nikami. There was no love involved, it was all logic! Fuck me, she always do things because of logic! What the hell does this situation make this any different?!

I balled up my fists, choking on my own tears.

“I know you can’t save her. You never will. It’s always the protagonist who wins in the end, the one who gets the girl, no matter how much their rival has the most connection to them. It’s called the childhood best friend syndrome for a reason! YOU. CAN’T. WIN. So just give up, so she can give up too.”

“Protagonist…?” I managed to mumble out through all of the pain, feeling my consciousness fade away. What? Huh? She… No, don’t tell me she isn’t from this world too. No no that’s impossible, this can’t be happening. She is NOT reincarnated, she is NOT reincarnated and also knew about the game… That’s just not FUCKING happening!

“I would let you join me, but you’re honestly too straightforward for anything. Too emotional. Can’t you see? This whole world is just a simulation, we knew that from the start. Yet you just had to get emotional connections to robots. I guess I can thank you, without your help, I wouldn’t have gotten the motivation she gave me.” The masked girl explained further, my eyelids fluttering and vision blurring. I took one last exhale, parting my lips as she gazed down at me.
