"I don't know. One minute, she was fine and the next she was on the floor." You heard Hermione's voice becoming clearer and clearer as you slowly opened your eyes. To your left, a machine, measuring your heart rate. You closed your eyes again, feeling exhausted. You heard footsteps retreating and a door shut. You thought you were alone in the room until you felt your right hand being squeezed. "Oh, Y/N, I'm so sorry," It was Hermione, "I know you can't hear me but I never meant for you to get hurt. I just wanted you to know the truth. I feel so terrible about keeping this secret. You're my best friend and I lied. I hope you can forgive me. I know I've only known you for around six months now, but recently, I've been feeling very odd around you. I'm an emotional person but I'm not really sure how I feel about you. Not in a bad way, of course." She said, her voice cracking quite a bit. You could tell she was trying her best not to cry.

You then heard fierce beeping. You opened your eyes, "M-mione? I can't b-breathe p-properly" you quietly said, stuttering. She let go of your hand to find a doctor. As soon as she left, you started coughing heavily. What is happening?  A couple of minutes later a doctor and a nurse came into the room with equipment. They ordered everyone but the staff to leave the room, meaning Hermione couldn't be there. Harry grabbed her arm, trying to pull her away. She didn't want to leave, she kept pushing until her cries got the better of her. Harry wrapped his arms around her, dragging her away. "No! Y/N! Please." She said, "Mione, come, she'll be fine." he said. You felt tears running down your face as your throat tightened up. The doctor put a breathing mask on you, putting you to sleep. You slowly drifted away, Hermione's voice echoing inside your head.
