Hermione's POV: Y/N and I were leaving the hospital after being there for around an hour. The doctor said that the shot she had taken wasn't too severe so she would just have to wear a sling until we next see him. You don't know how relieved I was to hear that.

"Oh come on Mione, it's not that bad!" Y/N screamed from the road, rain pouring everywhere. I stood under the roof of the Hospital with my arms crossed as I watched her mouth fly open, welcoming the water. I couldn't help but smile as I watched her laughing and spinning around like a child. "Well what are you waiting for? A ride?" Y/N yelled as I frowned. "That would be nice." I screamed back, still standing under the roof. She stopped and watched me for a second, her head slightly tilting to the side before running over to me.

I didn't move my position when Y/N slowed down as she got closer to me. She used her free hand to push her wet hair out of her face and chuckled. "What?" I looked at Y/N, our eyes connecting as she took my hand. "What's your deal with rain?" She asked me, pulling me into the road with her. I looked up, Y/N copying me, and laughed. "One- You get wet. And two- your being sort of cheesy, really. Like, prancing around with your partner in the rain and then kissing or whatever? Come on, that's really cheesy." I told her. Y/N raised her eyebrow and snickered. "Cheesy huh? Have you even kissed anyone in the rain to know?" She questioned me but I just laughed at her. "Oh please. Of course I have. It wasn't great though."

She smirked at me. "I guess you just haven't found the right person to do it with yet." I didn't say anything, causing Y/N's expression to drop completely. I continued to look into her eyes. I could tell she was hiding her feelings again. She was doing this to brush her pain away. So she wouldn't have to deal with it. My knowing of her hurting persuaded me to do it. Persuaded me to kiss her in the rain.

Without warning, I stood on the tips of my toes and pushed my lips against Y/N's. I heard her gasp at the suddenness but after a second, she eased into it. It made me feel warm inside. Like nothing or nobody else was there. I didn't try to deepen our kiss, but instead tried to take it in. Enjoy and make the most of it. We never really got those kind of kisses.

A few seconds later, I pull away to see Y/N smiling. She gave me a little chuckle as I punched her shoulder. "What?" I asked her. She shrugged, "I thought it was 'really cheesy'." I fiddled with my fingers and looked to the ground, a little embarrassed after what I had said. The kiss may not have been as cheesy as I made it out to be. Don't tell Y/N I said that. "Looks like I've found the perfect partner then." I mumbled shyly. But before Y/N could say anything, her phone rang. She took it out of her back pocket and answered it.

"Y/N speaking."
Her face grew frustrated, "No."
Then sad, "W-what? How?"
And then angry, "Don't you dare. I'm not just going to stand here whilst you do it all yourself!"
After a couple of seconds, Y/N cut the phone off and stuffed it back into her pocket. She pushed her wet hair out of her face and grabbed my hand, dragging me along the road. "W-who was that?" I asked her curiously, trying to keep up with her fast pace. "My uncle Vernon. Bloody twat's found out about what's happened to Oliver and wants to try and bury him himself. Honestly-" I stopped walking and let go of Y/N's hand and she continued to ramble on and on. Her Uncle Vernon? Could it be? N-no. No, of course not.
I stood still and watched Y/N as she finished her rant angrily. After a while, she noticed how I wasn't saying anything and was giving her a scolding look. "What?" She asked me. I casually shrugged, "Nothing. Your Uncle Vernon? How're you two related then?" I quickly questioned her, trying to make sure she didn't suspect anything. If my listening skills were correct, then Y/N could be related to Harry. I wasn't going to tell her anytime soon, though. She's already got enough on her plate as it is.
"My mother's younger brother. Him, his wife Petunia and mum's sister, Marge are suc- You know something, don't you?" Y/N stopped talking as she asked her question, eyeing me suspiciously. "What? No. No I don't know- I don't know anything." I tried defending myself but it was no use. I raised my hand to touch Y/N's shoulder but she grabbed it hastily and pulled me closer to her body. I stared into her wet, frustrated eyes as my breath hitched. "What do you know?" She asked me. I pursued my lips together and didn't say anything. "Don't make me ask you again Hermione." I still didn't say anything. Y/N let go of me and sighed. She leant against a car sitting on the side of the road and wiped all the water of her face. I finally gave in when I saw her rub her eyes, "You and Harry are cousins." I blurted. Y/N stopped as her eyes widened. "What?" I stood on the spot before moving over to where Y/N was leaning against the car. "Harry's mother, Lily, is Petunia's sister. Petunia is married to Vernon, both yours and Harry's uncle. If Vernon is an uncle to the both of you, well, that makes you related."

"Bloody Hell."
