Arriving In Mondstadt - Chapter 1

The darkness fades as y/n opens her eyes. In front of her she sees a man and a woman in front of her. Y/n is on the ground laying down

Woman: do you think she is from Liyue? I'm not used to seeing someone wearing clothes like that here in Mondstadt
Man: no, even in Liyue her clothing is quite peculiar
Y/n: uhh wh-who are you?
Woman: sh sh rest your head
Y/n: what happened?
Man: you tell us. You are the one who appeared here out of nowhere?

Y/n looks past them both and sees a crowd of people crowding around them, whispering amongst themselves.

Your POV

Should I tell them? No they might think I'm crazy! I just met these people. If I told them what happened they would think I'm insane. I know what I saw. I know what I felt. I looked down at where the orb was and see that it's still there. Oh no! This can't be good! This thing brought me here. I grab the object and take it off and try and throw it away. But the man grabbed my hand and stopped me from doing so.

Man: what do you think you're doing? You think it's wise to throw your vision?
Y/n: my what?
Woman: oh no, you must really have hit your head hard sweetie huh?
Y/n: I'm fine, really. Again who are you both?
Woman: oh I'm Amber and this is Kaeya
Kaeya: the pleasure is mine Miss... you are a Miss right?
Y/n: umm yeah?
Amber: where do you come from then miss?
Y/n: Y/n... my name is y/n... and I'm from Y/T...
Kaeya: Y/t? I'm unfamiliar with that place?
Amber: do you think she is from the same place as Aether?
Kaeya: hmm no, her clothes are too strange. They don't resemble his style in anyway
Amber: ok y/n this might be a weird question to ask but what world are you from?
Y/n: what world?! Well Earth obviously!
Kaeya: *sighs* I'm afraid that you aren't from this world dear
Y/n: wh-what?!!!! You meant this isn't!-
Amber: I'm afraid not...

I quickly get up and run through the crowd of people. I leave the towns gates and over the bridge. I keep running away from that place. I follow the path trying to find a place that seemed familiar. There's no way this is a different world! That's insane!!

Y/n halts to a stop and sees some strange creatures in front of her. There was three weird masked people, with what seemed to be long furry hair. They were hillichurls. They spotted y/n and ran towards her. Y/n stood still in shock. Still grasping the vision, she then held it in front of her with a quick reflex, looking away in terror, shocking the opponents in front of her towards the ground. She then looked back at the hillichurls with greater shock, surprised by the power she held in her hand. Kaeya and Amber rush towards her, catching up to where she is stood

Amber: Y/n!! Are you ok?!
Y/n: I- I don't know! These things started to chase me and I held this thing out and before I knew it, they were dead!
Kaeya: those are hillichurls...
Y/n: hillichurls?
Kaeya: yeah? Don't you see stuff like this in your world?
Y/n: no! Nothing like this!
Amber: oh... Um you might have a few other surprises here then in this world...
Kaeya: what's the point in having a vision then if you don't face these kinds of things in your world?

Your POV

Should I tell them how I got here? They seem to know a lot more about this stuff then me? Maybe I shouldn't? This silhouette might cause them more concern then needed.

Y/n: I woke up with the.... vision? I had never seen it before till I woke up
Kaeya: interesting... maybe it has something to do with an archon? Not just anyone can gain a vision?
Amber: well I'm sure we can get to that later, right now I think we should find you somewhere to rest for the night. I'm sure you could do with the rest
Y/n: honestly that would be great thank you

Amber puts her arm around y/n and guides her back to the town. When they arrive back Amber and Kaeya take y/n to a large building (Headquarters of the Knights of Favonius). they step inside a room where a blonde haired woman stood. She turned to face y/n

Woman: Is this the girl that mysteriously appeared in the city?
Amber: yes Jean
Jean: I see, and where is she from?
Kaeya: she is from a different world called Earth? We aren't too sure how this actually happened
Amber: we were wondering if you would be able to help her find a room for the night?
Jean: hmm, I think we have a room here you could stay in for the time being, that is until you can afford a place for your own. Well unless you do have some mora to spend?
Y/n: Mora?
Jean: I'll take that as a no then... hmmm oh I'm sure there are some people at the adventurers guild that can offer you some work.
Y/n: th-thank you... I appreciate it
Jean: Kaeya, can you escort her to the room upstairs? It is room 12
Kaeya: Of course Jean

Kaeya gestures y/n to the door and takes her up the stairs.

Jean: thank you Amber
Amber: No problem...
Jean: do you think this girl might be trouble?
Amber: Hard to say but I highly doubt it. She genuinely seems scared and lost. I think she is just wanting to go home
Jean: maybe tomorrow you should introduce her to Aether. She might feel more comfortable being near someone who has had a similar experience.
Amber: but he has been here for a year now? Won't she feel a little trapped? We still haven't found a way for him to return home
Jean: I'm sure if you address the matter slowly, she will learn to feel more comfortable here.
Amber: Very well, goodnight Jean
Jean: Goodnight to you too

Jean POV

As amber leaves the room I think more about this mystery girl. Does this mean that more people will be entering this world? I will do what I can to help Aether and y/n. But my main priority is keeping Mondstadt safe. the people of Mondstat need protecting, no matter the cost... Even if I have to ask him to help... *sighs* he is not going to like this
