Y/n is working at the precinct, she is rushing around helping out. Most of her bruises have faded away, and her cuts have formed into scars. Her burnt hand though, hasn't changed in appearance, but it doesn't hurt that much anymore. She feels self conscious about it though, so she keeps a bandage wrapped around it constantly. Y/n goes over to Catherine and gives her a coffee then sits down on the desk

Catherine: thanks
Y/n: no problem... whatcha working on?
Catherine: my report... just writing up everything from the Reynolds case
Y/n: the missing twins?
Catherine: yep
Y/n: well I'm glad you were able to find them. Who knows what would have happened to them if you didn't show up when you did
Catherine: ...yeah well patrick helped a lot
Y/n: where is Patrick?
Catherine: he is following a lead to another case
Y/n: you didn't go with him?
Catherine: he took another detective with him so I could finish this report.
Y/n: oh I see...
Catherine: do you want something y/n?
Y/n: umm no...
Catherine: *sighs* what is it?
Y/n: there is a concert later in the city and I was wondering if  you wanted to go?
Catherine: what time?...
Y/n: 9pm - 12am
Catherine: not a chance
Y/n: what? Why not?!
Catherine: we have work in the morning. And knowing the city. We probably won't get back till around 2 in the morning. You'll be exhausted
Y/n: *sighs* fine... there is something else I was wondering we could do?
Catherine: what?
Y/n: my car is still parked. It's been weeks now... you said you'd take me when I was doing better with my therapy. And even dr Andrews said I look like I'm doing better
Catherine: *sighs* ok... but I'm driving your car back.
Y/n: what? But what about your car?
Catherine: I'll get a cab at some point to get it back. We will get your car, but I don't want you driving just yet
Y/n: you do realise I have driven it since I got back from going missing
Catherine: I know... And I wish you didn't... plus I know what car you drive... I want to get a piece of the action

Catherine gets up to go to the printer

Y/n: fine but you better not crash it!

Y/n smiles. She was finally starting to feel happy again. Catherine was really good friends with her now. Even though Catherine was twice y/n's age. She was still really chill with y/n. It's later on now and Catherine is driving y/n's car

Catherine: I must say, when it comes to cars... you got good taste
Y/n: it was a gift for my 18th... well actually it was money from my dads will... he actually put on it for me to get a nice car when I turn 18 *chuckles*
Catherine: sounds like a cool dad
Y/n: I think he just wanted me to live my young adulthood in the right way

Y/n looks out the window and sees the hill she was at when she went to the other world. Y/n looks down sadly then looks over at Catherine.

Y/n: ...umm Catherine? Is it ok if you just turn here?
Catherine: why?
Y/n: please?
Catherine: umm ok

Catherine turns the wheel and parks the car roughly where y/n did last time. Y/n gets out of the car with her backpack on. Catherine looks confused but follows y/n

Catherine: what are we doing here?
Y/n: Catherine... I think you deserve to know what really happened to me... just please understand that it's pretty crazy... I don't expect you to believe me straight away... but as my friend... try to understand?
Catherine: ...ok
