1 week later. Y/n is at the winery. She has been organising a lot of files and stuff for the new restaurant. Diluc is currently working his shift at Angel's share.

Your POV

I've been trying to get as much work done as I can from home. I've been really tired lately and Diluc has been on edge a lot. I think it's just been a lot for him working on all the paper work so I've been stepping in this week. He deserved to have a break from it all, so he is taking it steady by working more shifts at the tavern instead. Which works out for me, I don't mind doing documenting work, doing practical work has been really hard lately, I think I just need to rest my strength for a while. As I continue to work in the study, I hear a knock on the door

Y/n: come in!

The door opens, y/n then sees Xiao enter the room.

Y/n: X-Xiao? What are you doing here? Is everything ok?
Xiao: I came to see if you were ok
Y/n: umm I'm a little tired, but otherwise ok
Xiao: hmm
Y/n: w-what is it?
Xiao: I don't know. There is something about you thats... off?
Y/n: huh?

Xiao walks closer to y/n. Xiao puts a hand on her shoulder and closes his eyes. His expression then quickly changed to shocked and he steps away

Xiao: I knew there was something different!
Y/n: what?! What is it?!
Xiao: I could feel something wrong with your essence! Something that felt like it was being changed!
Y/n: Xiao! You are freaking me out! What's going on?!
Xiao: I can sense more then just one soul, when I'm near you
Y/n: a-are you saying that I'm- I'm?!-
Xiao: pregnant. Yes
Y/n: I-I but how can you tell?!
Xiao: part of my power is to be able to hear out calls for help. I think when you were drinking in the tavern, it must have been a warning
Y/n: ARE YOU SAYING MY BABY IS IN PAIN?!
Xiao: no. Luckily the alcohol had no effect. Your baby is healthy
Y/n: *sigh for relief* thank goodness
Xiao: it is still really early in stages, but I had to be sure everything was alright with you
Y/n: well thank you for your concern xiao...
Xiao: are you going to tell Diluc?
Y/n: I will but... not yet... like you said it's REALLY early on... I don't want to keep his hopes up...
Xiao: it's got Yaksha DNA, it's going to take a lot more then some alcohol to effect the pregnancy
Y/n: *smiles* well I'm still going to avoid it from now on
Xiao: ... was this a planned pregnancy may I ask?
Y/n: not exactly... but I guess it would have happened at some point eventually... just didn't think it would be so soon... I don't even know what Diluc is going to think when the time comes when I do tell him
Xiao: I'm sure he will be there no matter what y/n
Y/n: I know... thank you

Back at Angel's share. Diluc is serving drinks at the tavern.

Diluc POV

From what Signora said about y/n, she should have arrived by now. But there still hasn't been any sign of her thankfully. I should have known she was bluffing. I wouldn't let her put her hands anywhere near her anyway. Y/n doesn't know this but I've had people watching over her when I'm not there, just in case. I had to bribe some of the Favonius to keep an eye out and protect her, as much as I disrespect the guard, I can't always drag her around with me, or she would know something is up. I want her to be safe, that is all I care about, and no Fatui is going to ruin that.

Diluc continues to man the tavern a little longer, until a familiar face comes through the door. The man sits down at the bar looking at Diluc with a grin

Kaeya: hello dear brother
Diluc: what do you want?
Kaeya: want? Whatever do you mean?
Diluc: spill it kaeya
Kaeya: I was just wondering if you would help a certain person with a particular quest?
Diluc: and what quest would that be?
Kaeya: fine... I need help clearing out some bandits on the outskirts of Mondstadt
Diluc: not happening
Kaeya: please, I can't face them alone
Diluc: then find a Favonius guard to help you
Kaeya: if I'm going to be honest brother, they aren't exactly fit for the job. You see the group of bandits is quite large. And Jean won't send anyone else to help me
Diluc: I don't know if you noticed kaeya, but I'm kinda busy
Kaeya: busy having the guards spy on y/n?

Diluc goes silent

Kaeya: yeah I know about that. Would be a shame if y/n was to find out about it wouldn't it?
Diluc: are you seriously going to use blackmail on me?
Kaeya: is it working?
Diluc: ... fine. Go find someone to cover my shift while we are gone
Kaeya: great, I'll be back shortly

Kaeya is about to leave Angel's share

Diluc: just when I was thinking about asking if he would be my best man
Kaeya: what was that?
Diluc: nothing. Go!

Kaeya leaves the tavern.

Meanwhile in Snezhnaya. Signora is with a tall man. He has a hood that shadows his face, and wears a cryo vision on his waist.

Signora: sir, why haven't we taken action on the Yaksha yet?
Man: that is between me and the Tsaritsa
Signora: but surely you want her, and the mask too
Man: of course I do! My reasoning is mine!
Signora: forgive me sir... what do you suggest we do then?
Man: we wait another week, then we strike. They will assume that we have moved on by that point. We take her, when they least expect it... there's a specific day next week when they definitely won't expect anything to happen. That's when you go
Signora: we kill her then?
Man: no! We need her! You take her hostage if you have to. If she doesn't come willingly, we do what we have to. I need her alive. One way or another, I will get her! Are we clear?!
Signora: yes sir. Of course

Signora walks away from the mysterious man
