The All Night Kiss - Chapter 39

Diluc arrives at a door and knocks, Kaeya answers it with a confused expression.

Kaeya: Diluc? What are you doing here?
Diluc: I need a favour
Kaeya: what is it?
Diluc: can you bartend at Angel's share tonight?
Kaeya: umm I'm not sure Diluc, I kinda wanted the night off today
Diluc: please, you owe me one, I did you a favour
Kaeya: yeah and you probably wouldn't have met y/n if I didn't ask you to help
Diluc: be as that may, I really need to be there for her tonight... she is having a hard time right now... please Kaeya
Kaeya: *sighs* fine... I'll do it, if you give me a barrel of wine
Diluc: what do you need a barrel of wine for?
Kaeya: meh, the tavern can get a little crowded some nights. Sometimes a man just likes to wine and dine on his own, on an odd occasion
Diluc: fine! I'll bring you the barrel tomorrow morning
Kaeya: great, I'll head over to Angel's share now
Diluc: ...thank you

Diluc heads back to the Winery. He goes into the bedroom and takes off his jacket. He sees y/n with a sketchbook in her hands, she is sitting on the bed, with her back rested on the headboard. He smiles and goes to sit next to her, and puts his arm around her.

Diluc: what have you got there?
Y/n: my sketchbook, it has all my drawings since I went back to my world

They look through the pages and see lots of drawings of buildings, gadgets and modern clothing.

Y/n: I drew all these in hopes I could show you one day... I knew how interested you were in my world...
Diluc: ...you never stopped thinking about me?
Y/n: of course I didn't...
Diluc: ...before you came back... I kept wanting to know if you found happiness... d-did you?...
Y/n: ... I did... it's still hard for me to believe that I did... but I found friends who helped me get through my darkest moments...

Diluc rushes in for a kiss, he holds the side of her cheeks and holds her face close to his. When he pulls away he smiles at her

Diluc: you have no idea how happy I am to hear you say that

He repeats his actions and kisses her again. Y/n let's go of the sketchbook and moves her fingers through his red hair. She slightly pulls back, barely touching his lips.

Y/n: no happiness can compare, to the happiness I have with you

Their lips return. Feeling the warmth of each other's mouths. They sink into the bed, laying down, holding each other closer to one another. Diluc slides his hand down to y/n's neck, pulling her as close to him as he could. When they pull away one more time, Diluc takes his other hand and places his index finger under y/n's chin, and his thumb on her bottom lip, gazing at her beauty.

Diluc: I would do anything, to keep kissing you like this
Y/n: I would too

Diluc moves his head towards y/n's ear and whispers

Diluc: then kiss me till the sun rises

Y/n whispers into Diluc's ear

Y/n: is that a challenge?
Diluc: maybe...

Y/n pushes her self onto Diluc and kisses him passionately. He wraps his arms around her. Pulling her body towards his. They enjoy each other's embrace for the rest of the night, they both last the entire night kissing each other. When the sun rises Diluc looks at her and smiles

Diluc: good morning
Y/n: good morning to you too

Diluc gives y/n a final kiss on the lips

Y/n: thank you... for staying with me tonight...
Diluc: of course...
Y/n: I didn't realise how much I actually needed this
Diluc: me too... now that you survived my challenge
Y/n: *chuckles*
Diluc: get some rest... I'll be back later to check up on you
Y/n: ok *smiles*

Diluc gets out of the bed and puts his jacket on, he then gives y/n a kiss on the cheek as she drifts off to sleep. Diluc then leaves the room. He heads to Mondstadt with a barrel of wine for Kaeya, he carries it on his shoulder with his arm wrapped around it, holding it in place. When Diluc arrives at Kaeya's place he knocks on the door, and yet again Kaeya answers with a smirk on his face

Kaeya: well someone got lucky last night
Diluc: it's not what you think
Kaeya: oh please
Diluc: I'm serious, we just kissed all night, that's it
Kaeya: what why?
Diluc: it's really none of your business!
Kaeya: fine fine, I won't pry...
Diluc: where do you want the wine?
Kaeya: oh over there is fine

Diluc settles the barrel down. Kaeya then sits down at a chair and looks over at Diluc with his legs crossed

Kaeya: so...
Diluc: what?!
Kaeya: how was it? *smirks*
Diluc: why do you want to know?!
Kaeya: can't I just be a little curious? Isn't this normal stuff brothers talk about?
Diluc: I don't know about that, but we aren't exactly normal brothers
Kaeya: fair enough. But who else are you going to talk about this stuff with?
Diluc: what? I don't need to talk about this with anyone?
Kaeya: fine keep it to yourself...
Diluc: ...it was amazing ok... I won't discuss it further
Kaeya: *chuckles*
Diluc: was it busy at the tavern last night?
Kaeya: no luckily, or I might have joined in the drinking
Diluc: well thanks for your help anyways
Kaeya: no problem, was worth it for the wine.
Diluc: anyways I've got work to do. Should be looking at some new land for the new winery within the next few days
Kaeya: you're seriously going through with the new winery?
Diluc: yeah, why wouldn't I?
Kaeya: I don't know, it's just going to feel a little weird working at 2 winery's isn't it?
Diluc: well we will be hiring more staff and Zhongli will be helping out a lot. I'll barely even be there, but if we want to raise for funds, we need to expand the business for more attention.
Kaeya: hmm ok, it's your call
Diluc: why? What else would you suggest?
Kaeya: you have someone from a different world in your life. Try and make something new and different? Maybe she can help? Maybe you don't need to just focus on alcohol
Diluc: ... it was dad's creation the winery... I don't want to let him down
Kaeya: Diluc... you could never let him down...
Diluc: ...I'll see you later Kaeya

Diluc leaves Kaeya's place, questioning over what Kaeya had said.
