"Come on, please let me help you!" Mikado begged at Nikei's bedside. "I can go get you some painkillers!"

Nikei groaned as the wizard pestered him in bed. Earlier, he had been jokingly chasing Mikado around while throwing objects at him and ended up tripping and hurting his foot. The blonde was distraught and blamed himself, and was annoying the journalist by looking like a kicked puppy at his bedside.

"The only painkiller I'll need is an aspirin if you keep up your pestering." Nikei grumbled, but Mikado still looked hurt. "Listen, if you really want to make yourself useful, I was on my way to interview Teruya when we started our 'game' and got myself hurt. The questions I was going to ask are all on the page I already flipped it to, just write down his answers legibly. We'll talk later. Got it?"

"Got it! I'll be back soon, Mr. Yomiuri!" The wizard chirped, practically bounding out of the smaller boy's bedroom. Nikei sighed and closed his eyes. Mikado didn't know how to conduct an interview, nor had he ever done so in his life, so the journalist could get some decent rest for a few hours while his foot slowly healed.

As Mikado slowed down to a walk to go up the stairs to Teruya's room, he wondered how he was going to conduct the interview. He didn't know how to write, so maybe he could type down the answers onto his student handbook and message them to Nikei later? Or maybe he could get Teruya to write down his answers? No, the first option would definitely benefit Nikei more since Mikado didn't know how messy Teruya's handwriting was.

It was nighttime now and Monocrow's nightly announcement had gone off, so the merchant had to be in his room. Mikado walked up to the door and rang the doorbell, then stepped back and waited. The door soon opened, and Teruya smiled when he saw the wizard.

"Hey, Mikado! What do you need?" The merchant greeted. "And why do you have Nikei's notepad?"

"Mr. Yomiuri hurt his foot, so he asked me to interview you in his stead. Would you mind letting me in? He seemed to have written down a couple questions in advance." The wizard looked down at the notepad, thankful that he could read the journalist's neat cursive. "I may need to sit down for this." He chuckled.

"Of course, come in!" Teruya stepped out of the doorway and let the blonde pass him. The two of them went to the table in the merchant's cluttered room and sat down facing each other. Mikado quickly turned on his student handbook and got ready to type down Teruya's answers in a notes section.

"Alright, so the first question here...let's see...when was Otori Mart founded and where was the first location?" Mikado recited aloud. "Huh, these questions seem to be about your work experience."

"Oh! Well, Otori Mart actually was founded by my papa, Kojiro Otori." Teruya smiled at the memory. "He was successful enough to set up a chain of stores all across Japan, and he had ambitions to start setting up overseas stores before the Tragedy hit."

"Which leads into the next question, what happened to Otori Mart during the Tragedy?" Mikado asked, then started panicking as Teruya winced. "Ah, you don't need to answer that if it's too distressing, I'm sure that Mr. Yomiuri would understand!"

"No, it's okay, I can keep talking." The merchant assured. "After I was presumed dead by my class, my father went crazy with grief and got manipulated by Junko Enoshima into financing her killing games, including my own. Me, Tsurugi, and Rei did manage to find him, and I think he spent a full hour crying while hugging me. We took him back with us for rehabilitation, but he died later that year due to smoke inhalation and stress on his heart."

"Oh, I'm so sorry. My doors are always open if you wish to talk about such sensitive issues." The wizard reached forwards and patted his shoulder before drawing back. "What about the Kisaragi Foundation? Didn't you come here to stop Void?"

"Huh? Tsurugi told me that we needed to stop a criminal from playing a killing game..." Teruya replied. "I don't know what you're talking about, what do you mean by 'Void'?"

"I..." Mikado looked down at the notebook. Nowhere was the word 'void' in any of the questions. "I-I'm not sure, to be honest, it just sprang to mind." He shivered, his tone confused. "I-I think I'm just tired. It's late at night, and I know more than anyone that there's something wrong with my head."

"Yeah, you shouldn't overwork yourself. Why don't you stay with me for the night? You look like you need a lot more than a hug." The merchant offered.

"Of course, I wouldn't pass up a chance to be close to someone." Mikado's mask smiled as he was delighted by the prospect of sleeping beside someone. And with Teruya being bigger than him, he could be the smaller one if they choose to cuddle. "Hold on, I should tell Mr. Yomiuri that his interview is done." He remarked as he got out his student handbook.
