Today's investigation for Sora was at the mysterious Tower of Babel, which even Monocrow knew nothing about. The tower went high above the clouds, but with a bunch of information inside, Sora was more content to start on the lower levels and work her way up.

The most troubling thing for Sora to do at the moment was try and reach the higher shelves, but she didn't really care for those right now. As she looked over the books on the shelf at her eye level, she thought it was strange that some of them seemed to not have titles on their spine.

She took one of these books out and opened it fully, but found that the pages were blank. She flipped through them all, but only found one page that had something in it, and that was only an unintelligible string of random numbers and letters. "What the hell..." She muttered, closing the book and putting it back on the shelf.

Sora decided to go check another floor of the tower, making a mental note to ask Monocrow about the books like the one she just discovered, but she stopped in her tracks when she noticed that the break room's door was open. Filled with curiosity, since she hadn't checked the room yet, she quietly stepped inside to see if she could find any loose materials there.

Sora walked into the break room and spotted Teruya up on his toes trying to reach a very high shelf. The albino found it funny and unusual that somebody as tall as the former merchant would have difficulty getting to a higher place. "Hello, Teruya." She greeted with a smile. "How's your investigation going?"

"Not very good." He admitted, pausing his actions for a moment. "I swear I saw something up on that big shelf there, but I can't reach it."

"Huh?" Sora walked over to Teruya's side and strained her eyes trying to look for what he had spotted. "...I can't see anything."

"Wait, I have an idea!" The merchant exclaimed. "Why don't you get on my shoulders, and you can try and get the thing I saw?"

Sora thought for a moment before nodding. "Yeah, I think that might work. Could you lean down?" She asked.

Teruya dropped down to kneel on one knee, and Sora put her shins on both his shoulders. As he slowly stood up again, the albino had to hold onto his head for dear life due to her precarious position she was in. Finally, the two of them got their act together and slowly moved to the bookshelf.

"Can you see it up there now?" Teruya questioned, holding on to her thighs in an attempt to keep her stabilized.

"Not quite- Oh! There it is!" Sora exclaimed, seeing a small object on a high part of the shelf. With her and Teruya's combined height, the object was barely in her reach. "Dammit, I just need to go a little bit higher...!"

"Hold on!" The merchant went up on his toes again, and Sora moved from sitting on her shins to extend her body and reach for the object.

After nearly losing her balance twice with Teruya struggling to not let her fall, Sora finally grabbed the object in her hand. "Got it!" She called, and Teruya stepped away from the bookshelf and fell to his knees.

When Sora got off of his shoulders, the merchant sprang up and faced the amnesiac with an excited face, almost like a puppy. "So?! What did you get?!" He asked in anticipation.

Sora opened her hand and looked the object over. "I think it's a box cutter. What the hell was a box cutter doing on the highest shelf?" She questioned before shaking her head, dismissing the question. "Actually, I think Shinji needed this to cut through some rough material. I'll give it to him."

"Hey, Sora, don't you think it's weird that we're in a place named after a tower in the bible?" Teruya suddenly pointed out, rubbing his shoulders from the weight on them.

"Hm? We are?" She prompted.

"Yeah, the Tower of Babel was made after the flood in the Noah's Ark story. Apparently, God wanted humans to spread out throughout the world, but they all stayed in one place and tried to make a tower to the heavens." Teruya retold. "God got mad and punished humans for their hubris by destroying the tower and changing people's language to be different, forcing them to spread out."

"How do you know about something from the bible? Are you Christian?" Sora inquired.

"No, I was just dared to read the entirety of my classmate's bible in my years at Hope's Peak." Teruya chuckled. "Sometimes, I really hate my really good memory."

"I believe you." The albino laughed. "Now, how about we go deliver this oddly-placed box cutter to Shinji?"

The two of them left the break room and headed back towards the Monocruise, with Teruya telling random stories on the way and Sora listening attentively.
