Warning: mentioned wound and blood, peroxide

"Tch... Stupid men, thinking that I am not as strong as they are..." Yuri grumbled spitefully, climbing up a tree bare of leaves. "They clearly haven't heard of the training astronauts go through..."

On the fifth island, Shinji and Yuki had passed by the spaceman, and the firefighter invited Yuri to train with them because Yuri 'didn't look like he had any muscle'. Yuri took great offence to that and decided to show his strength and agility by climbing up one of the tallest trees on the island.

As he went higher and higher, Shinji and Yuki began to sound more worried as they called up to him. The spaceman ignored them, focusing on the top of the tree. But the more he kept climbing, the thinner the branches and trunk were becoming. Yuri didn't care, he just kept going up and up and up...

Suddenly, the voices below began to get more scared and frantic. The spaceman briefly wondered what they were shouting about, but he didn't have to wait long to find out. A huge gust of wind came and made the tree sway, and Yuri tried his best to hold onto the tree for dear life.

To his horror, the branches he was holding onto broke, and he fell from the tree. Thankfully, the trees nearby had branches plentiful enough to break his fall as he came back to the ground. After hitting a countless number of branches and hitting the ground, Shinji and Yuki ran to his side with equally worried expressions.

Yuri forced himself to his feet, feeling his back sting terribly, and hurriedly got away from the two training boys. He wanted to quickly go to the infirmary and grab the first aid kit to see how bad his back was, so he set his destination back to the Monocruise.

Limping into the infirmary, he was surprised to see Yoruko there, putting a small band aid onto her finger. As he went past her, he heard a small gasp come from the hostess. "Y-Yuri, there's blood soaking through your shirt! What happened to you?!" She exclaimed.

"Ah, no need to worry, dear Yoruko." Yuri reassured. "I merely fell out of a tree proving two males wrong. I will be fine."

The hostess wasn't appeased, still concerned about the spaceman. "Take off your shirt. I think you'll need some help for a wound that big, whether you want it or not." She sternly told him.

Yuri hesitated, not wanting to impose on the hostess with his injuries, but she was insisting and he wasn't one to refuse a lady her request. Reluctantly, he took off his rocket backpack, vest, and shirt, going to sit over on one of the infirmary beds as Yoruko stood there in shock, staring at Yuri's back.

"Yuri, I don't want to alarm you too much, but there's a huge slash right across your back." The hostess spoke in an uneasy tone. "I'll clean up the blood and disinfect the wound, just hold still."

Yuri wasn't too happy about having to sit still while a woman did the work; he could take care of himself and didn't want to trouble a girl to help him. However, he tried to be as cooperative as he could as he felt a warm cloth touch his back.

Yoruko kept dabbing the cloth over the gash, trying to clean up the blood so that she could see the wound more clearly to treat it, which thankfully wasn't bleeding too much. As it turned out, the blood soaked through the spaceman's clothes because the fabric was pressed between the wound and the ground.

Yoruko grabbed the first aid kit and took out a bit of peroxide and bandages. "This is going to sting a bit, I'm just going to disinfect the wound." She warned, soaking a different cloth with the disinfectant.

As the liquid-covered cloth touched the wound on Yuri's back, the spaceman winced and put his hands on his knees, squeezing them as he grit his teeth. Yoruko hadn't lied, the peroxide stung quite a lot. The hostess seemed to notice his discomfort and went a little lighter on touching the wound.

After a few minutes, Yoruko put the peroxide aside and grabbed the roll of bandages. With experienced, steady hands, she carefully wrapped the bandage around his torso, securing it into place. "Alright, it's finished. Don't exert yourself too much, and let me know if the bandages are bled through." She finished, putting the rest of the materials back in the first aid kit and picking up the two cloths to put them in the laundry room.

Yuri got off the bed and put his shirt and vest back on. "Ah, I am terribly sorry for having bothered you like this, dear Yoruko! Is there any way I can make it up to you, I wonder?"

"Y-Yuri, you don't need to do anything! You were hurt, so I decided to help!" Yoruko stammered as the spaceman kept pleading to try and pay her back. Eventually, they compromised with Yuri buying lunch for her.
