“So have you guys talked since?” Stella asked as she was checking herself out in my mirror. It was a few days after the tragedy that occurred between me and Alec. Wednesday, to be exact. She, Amy, Skyler and Paige were crowding my room. Amy was sitting next to me on my bed; Paige was sitting at my desk wishing to be anywhere else in the world and Skyler was in my closet trying on my skinny jeans.

“No,” I replied, staring blankly at my wall. Amy pulled me in for a hug. The girls all decided to come over to my house and comfort me. I guess word spread around quickly. The only person I told was Amy, and there was no way that she would tell anyone else. I don’t even think she liked anybody else in this room. I can’t imagine Alec told anybody either. Possibly Ginny, since they were “best friends” or whatever. She most likely told Paige after that to gloat about how she is closer to him than Paige will ever be, and then knowing Paige, she blabbed to the whole school. Fortunately, the whispers stopped and I could walk down the hall gracefully because everyone knew that I wasn’t dating Alec, hopefully negating the gay rumors. I mean truths.

“Yes! I am victorious!” Skyler screeched as she ran out of my closet with my black skinnies on. Well, one of my many pairs of black skinny jeans. “They fit!”

“Wow, what size are you?” Amy laughed.

“That’s not important,” I growled. It was actually surprising that Skyler could fit into my pants. She’s all skinny and I’m over here being obese. Maybe I was skinnier than I thought, or Skyler was fatter than I thought. I wanted the first one to be the answer. The answer was probably magic though.

“How many pairs of black pants do you have?” Stella asked breaking away from the mirror to look at the pants I was currently wearing, because they were black.

“Like ten,” Amy laughed again.

“They had a sale,” I said defending myself.

“Your parents let you get ten pairs of black pants?” Skyler asked excitedly. In case you didn’t notice, Skyler was a huge fan of the color black. Black jeans, black shirts, black shoes, black hair. It was still a mystery why she hadn’t run off with a black guy yet.

“My parents aren’t even around long enough to watch a 30 second YouTube video. (Not including that two minute advertisement that you have to watch before the video) They don’t really have any say. They just give me the money to do whatever I want with and then leave for a few days,” I enlightened.

“Your parents seem nice,” Stella said trying on my sunglasses.

“Seem? You said you've been here before. They’ve been insane my whole life!” I yelled.

“Like I would remember!” she countered. “I was always under some kind of influence when I was over here back in the day.”

“What influence are you under tonight?” Amy inquired.

“I’m not under anything at the moment,” Stella answered.

“Oh, at the moment?” Amy joked. “Hey, guys you wanna play a game? This one is called ‘Guess What Drug Stella is Going to Take’.”

“Amy, did I ever do anything to make you dislike me?” Stella hissed.

“There are too many things to name,” Amy hissed back.

“Okay, let’s break this up!” I yelled. This was not about to happen in my room. Maybe in a nice kiddie pool full of mud, but not here. Plus, I didn’t like to see my friends fight. That was one of the few things I hated more than Natalia or Steve.

“New subject, let’s talk about me,” Paige finally spoke.

“I’ll pass,” Skyler said tearing through my closet. Paige shot her a glare. Skyler was too busy to return the glare.
