The next day came quickly and Amy and I were on our way to our first class. I walked a little bit ahead of her with confidence. I could feel her giving me a sort of confused look. She had no idea what I had planned to get back at Natalia. To be honest, neither did I.
We entered the classroom and found our usual seats. I actually stayed up for a while last night trying to plot an evil scheme against Natalia. I couldn't come up with anything. All of the ideas that I did come across were either illegal, really expensive or required a honey badger. All of which I couldn't accomplish at my current state.
"So you really had to be taken away in an ambulance?" I heard a naively familiar voice walk through the door. Skyler.
"Oh yeah, it was super scary," Steve confirmed.
"I swear I was looking the whole time and I never saw them. Are you sure?" she interrogated.
"Well you were probably distracted. I mean the bathroom was really far away."
"Okay, but still I would have heard the ambulance."
"You probably had your headphones blasting," he laughed.
"I didn't have my headphones in though," she clarified.
"Yeah, you did. When I left you put them on," he lied.
"Bu-"
"Ya know, it wasn't that big of a deal," Steve interrupted. Skyler's face still had a sort of puzzled look. It went away though, once Steve started flirting with her again. She was just as gullible as Alec. Oh, that reminds me. Crap. I totally forgot about our almost kiss. How could I forget about something so major? Okay, maybe it wasn't as major as an actual kiss. I remember after the big incident with Natalia's ex-boyfriend in middle school, I couldn't get that kiss out of my mind. Apparently, neither could Natalia.
That's it! I should do that! Wait, no I can't! I suddenly slapped myself. Amy looked over at me with an even more confused look. I gave her an unsuccessful smile. She turned away slowly. Why did I think of that? It was the best thing I had, no; it was the only thing I had. The only thing I knew how to do. Steal Natalia's boyfriends. Nah, she would probably murder me with her Political Science book. Plus, who knows if this guy has a gay gene in him? I mean her first boyfriend took drama and read books. There were signs. But the current guy she is dating...
Oh, you have no idea who I am talking about. Natalia's current boyfriend, Zach Collins. He's well-known for being the captain of the Soccer team, but he was white. Tan white though, so at first glance you would go straight to the mexican stereotype, and then realize. You wouldn't tell him that to his face though, because he was 5'11. He could squash you. Okay, that was a little exaggerated. He was strong, but he wouldn't hurt anyone. He was actually really nice. Like way too nice! It was still a huge mystery how he and the princess of darkness got together.
He was perfect. His short hair was the perfect shade of brown and was always styled in a sexy swoop. His eyes were a gorgeous blue-grey and he had a really nice body. Like really nice. His abs made me want to bring my dirty clothes to school whenever my mother and father got into a fight and both left for a few days forcing me to wash my own garments so that I could use them as a washboard to clean my clothes. Lucky me, that just happens to be the case at the current moment. Okay, that was maybe a little weird. He wasn't super bulky and buff, his arms were just moderate and he had a very slim physique. It was still the hottest thing that you would see around these parts. Oh and speaking of his body, he also had a strange tattoo of a dream catcher on his right side ribcage area. How do I know that? No, I didn't sneak into the locker room after practice and creep on him. One day last year there was a "Shirts vs. Skins" Soccer game afterschool, and Amy and I decided to stay after and watch the game, for the sole purpose of seeing him.
