I leaned against Boston waiting for Amy. It was Wednesday, which meant that I had about five days to accomplish the task. I really would rather kill myself at this point. Amy would not approve of that though, so I played Mario all last night and killed myself that way. In Super Mario, I jump off of all of the cliffs and let myself get hit by turtle shells. In Mario Kart, I kept driving off of the side, into lava and into the ocean. Finally, I played Super Smash Brothers, and kept jumping off of the platform.

Once I was done with that, I decided to be less of a downer and search ways to get rid of evidence on the internet. If the cops did some kind of random computer check and went through my history, then it would look really suspicious. Then I would be the third and final family member to walk out of the house in handcuffs. Nah, I like being the clean one. Anyways, I found nothing. People actually asked questions about getting rid of evidence to not get sent to jail on google. They were dumb. Very dumb. I eventually gave up and went to sleep. You never know, I could learn something in school the next day about getting revenge or blackmailing someone from one of my teachers.

I pulled my cell out and pressed the circle button. 7:06. Where the hell was she? I threw by bag in the back and then turned back around to see if she was coming. About a minute later, her door opened. She was dressed in her pajamas we bought from the hipster store. She also didn’t have her school bag. I cocked my head to the side. She dragged herself over to me and coughed. I backed up.

“What in the world happened to you?” I interrogated. “And where is your bag?”

“I’m sick,” she replied. I watched her walk around to her side and she unlocked the doors. I opened my door and slid in.

“If you’re sick then why are you out here?”

“To take you to school.”

“You don’t have to do that. If you’re sick, that means I’m sick. We can stay home, watch movies and-“

“Nope. You are going to school. I am taking you,” she interrupted.

“You can’t make me,” I growled.

“You’re in my car,” she stated and starting driving. “And now it’s moving.”

“I can jump out,” I yelled.

“Do it,” she dared. I looked out the window. The ground didn’t look very pleasant. Then again, she was practically telling me to kill myself. Now that I had the opportunity, I didn’t feel like doing it. She started picking up speed as well.

“On second thought, I’m good.”

“Thought so.”

“But why are you taking me?”

“You need to go to school and get an education.”

“We used to always stay home when one of us was sick,” I added. “Why now, on one of the worst weeks of my life do you force me to go to school alone?”

“Because you need this,” she answered.

“Need what?”

“You need to learn to stop relying on me. For the past 17 years I have always been there for you. Through parental problems, school drama and being by your side when there was a challenge you were too scared to handle alone. This time, I need you to go a day of school without me,” she commanded, pulling into the school.

“Fine,” I said, getting out. I walked to the back and grabbed my bag, then walked back to the door. “But I am going to text you the whole time.”

“I won’t respond,” she said closing the door on me and then driving away. I stood on the curb staring at her crazy driving. How dare she do this to me? I turned to see the school. I had no choice, so I went inside. The halls were slightly empty since class was going to start soon. I walked into my class as the bell rang and I looked over to see Steve and Alec laughing. I turned away and found a seat next to Skyler.
