Waking up with a Pepsi hangover is more painful than you'd think. I either had way more soda than I should have, or Paige lied about there being no alcohol. Either way, I had a butt load of fun last night at the club. Unfortunately, the curfew here in Leighton is 9:00, so our fun had to eventually end. The club closed at 10:00, which was stupid because it was an under 18 club. We decided to leave right in the middle, so at 9:30 Amy tried getting us home without running into the cops or exceeding the extremely low speed limit.
I couldn't stop my mind from wandering off and thinking about the adorable and exciting Alec. He was just so much fun last night. Right before we left Amy went into the bathroom to unlock his brother's handcuffs, but she didn't have the key so Alec went and told Paige that there was a weirdo in the bathroom who handcuffed himself to one of the toilets so that he could spy on the girls. It was hilarious. She ran in and smacked him with her purse. She also called him a "pervert" and banned him from coming there ever again. Alec is maybe the most amazing person in the entire existence of the world.
Ow, head still hurts. Yeah, I definitely do not feel like going to school today. I have to see Alec, though. But I probably looked horrible. Well, he might have a Pepsi hangover as well? He drank a lot of it. Whatever, I'm going. I have to look nice and not look like I'm trying to recover from a hangover that isn't really a hangover but could probably pass for one.
I opened my closet and grabbed a nice button up shirt. A green short sleeved this time, and all buttons fastened. I grabbed another pair of black skinnies and found my beloved green converse. Then I realized, it was time to break out the sunglasses. I ran over to the mirror and a row of sunglasses lined across the top. I grabbed the green and black retro pop sunglasses that Skyler bought me from Hot Topic. Now she can't yell at me for not wearing them.
At 7:00 I was already outside by Amy's car waiting for her. I was extra eager to go to school today. Something that hasn't happened since 3rd grade when we were doing the popsicle stick art project. Now THAT was a day I was eager to go to school. I looked down at my wrist to see what time it was. Then I realized that I don't have a watch. I pulled my iPhone out and pressed the circle button near the bottom. It was 7:02.
Amy finally appeared and looked just about as bad as I felt when I woke up this morning. Her hair was balanced at the top of her head in a messy bun. She had on a long dark green dress with a complicated multi-colored pattern going down the front. For her shoes she had on brown sandals and she also decided to sport the sunglasses look. Hers were big and gold. They weren't real gold of course; we don't spend more than 5 dollars on anything we would only wear once.
She trudged across the lawn with an unmotivated presence. She walked over and threw her bag in the trunk and I did the same and she looked up at me and examined my face.
"Sunglasses," we said in unison. I guess I wasn't the only one that caught a case of the Pepsis. We both entered the vehicle and soon after, Boston was on its way to school. Amy was driving slower than expected, considering her head probably felt like it got thundershocked by Pikachu. As soon as she parked I sprinted to class. School wasn't starting for another couple of minutes but I needed to see Alec. As expected he wasn't in class yet. I took a seat in the back with a chair on either side of me so that Amy could have one and he would take the other.
"Wasn't that club so much fun?" I heard Skyler come in wrapped around Steve.
"Yeah, it was alright," he answered with much less enthusiasm.
"We should totally go again for my birthday. You know my birthday is coming up right?" Skyler asked with too much glee. "You remember my birthday right?"
"Wait, isn't your birthday in June?"
"Yes, and that is less than a year away! We have to prep for it now!"
