Thanksgiving break was finally set into motion. No more school for an entire week. I think we all would agree that it wasn’t enough time. Winter break is a little better, with two weeks. Summer has it going on though, 2 and a half months. That was a while away though. Too long actually. To pass the time though, I’ve been hanging out with the only person I could. My wonderful boyfriend, Alec. I mean, I could have hung out with Stella, but after the recent events, I don’t think she has the best judgment on where to go.
Thanksgiving, the actual reason that we have this break, was coming up. Yep, a time for family and love and thankfulness. I bet you could guess what my family and I do for Thanksgiving. If you said nothing, you would be correct. They were never home around this time and it would be a miracle if I could get my father to sit still at a table and act like he loves us. I usually had Thanksgiving with Amy. We went over to her grandparent's place and would eat with her family because I was practically a part of it. I have known her since forever. This year would be different though, she hates my guts and could possibly try and tell my family my huge secret. I’ve stopped thinking about her though. She has a conscience. Even if she decided to tell, she couldn’t bare the guilt and she would do anything to make it up to me.
It was Wednesday, which meant tomorrow was Thanksgiving since it always fell on a Thursday. Was I to wake up and enjoy a big, wonderful breakfast? Hell no. The original plan for this year was to go to Alec’s house, eat with his family and have a good laugh. Then something completely sketchy happened.
Me: You’re kidding, right?
Zach: Nope.
Me: It must be a trap.
Zach: She tells me everything, and she said nothing about traps. So you and Alec are invited to Natalia’s Annual Thanksgiving Bash.
Me: That’s okay…
Zach: Please go.
Me: Why? So I could be kidnapped and sold into slavery.
Zach: Don’t worry. Slave owners don’t like your type.
Me: What type is that? Adorable, unsuspecting teenager with parents who won’t even realize he is missing? I'm perfect.
Zach: Good point. Anyways, you need to come… and bring Alec.
Me: You think that Alec is going to step foot into the enemy’s house? Ha, good one.
Zach: Please. Just do this for me.
Me: Why this? I can just hang out with you another day.
Zach: I can’t. I have Soccer practice and a game every day for the rest of break.
Me: Ugh. Fine. But we aren’t going to stay for that long. Got it?
Zach: Yay.
I’m not the only one that is sketched out by this, right? The girl… sorry, creature that almost destroyed everything that I held dear. There had to be an ulterior motive. Everyone was invited. Paige, Skyler, Stella, Ollie, Ginny, Chance and of course, Amy. Was she planning a massive homicide or something? I was still considering going. Hello, it was an in-crowd party. I’ve never been invited to any of these. Plus, Natalia’s Thanksgiving party was always one of the best parties of the year. So I’ve heard. Like I said, never been to any party ever.
I believe that now you are wondering why Natalia throws a giant party on Thanksgiving. I guess she doesn’t believe in family time. Then again, her family isn’t that well put together. It’s just her and her mom and whatever guy her mom has over that day. So she throws a party since she has a freaking mansion. Once I told Alec about it, he was completely opposed. He also thought it would be a trap. I convinced him to go though. He always had a boring Thanksgiving just hanging out with his parents and brother, and also his brother was still kind of hating on him so it would be best to get away. Chance was invited though, my bet was that he still wouldn't go.
