“I don’t want to go in,” I whispered to Alec as we stood a few feet away from our fourth period class. His arms were wrapped around me and my hands were around his neck.
“You can do this,” he smiled. I looked down. He moved in and kissed me.
“I can’t,” I said pulling apart from him.
“You have gone through the entire day with me so far,” he stated. “Why are you afraid now? Everyone knows, and they seem to not care.”
“I know. It’s just…”
“Just…?”
“Natalia.”
“Natalia?” he echoed. I nodded. “Ha, you won’t have to worry about her.”
“That’s hilarious. You don’t know her like I do. I’m pretty sure by now that she knows about us.”
“I told you, no need to worry,” he said bringing me in tighter. I felt so safe in his arms. I’ve never felt like this before. I liked it. I didn’t know what to do though. This type of thing has never happened to me before. Relationships were never in my thoughts at all. The only things I knew about relationships came from Indie love songs, television and the slutty couples trying to swallow each other that you see everywhere down these hallways.
“If you say so,” I finally spoke. He let go of me and placed his hand on top of mine. Our fingers entwined and he dragged me into the classroom. We entered slowly and I tried not to look at anyone else. I could hear the whispers, but I was used to it by now. I looked over to see Natalia glaring at me. Alec pulled me over to sit further away. Skyler was sitting in my usual seat. She gave Alec a thumbs up. He smiled and sat next to her. I guess they thought it would be dangerous if I sat next to Natalia. I didn’t blame them.
I decided to look forward. I didn’t want to accidentally make eye contact with her. She would probably suck my soul out. I still wondered what evil plan she was scheming up now. Crap, the footage. She didn’t need one, she already had a plan.
“You okay?” Alec asked.
“Fantastic,” I lied.
“Seriously, what’s wrong? You’ve made it this far. She hasn’t clawed your eyes out yet.”
“Oh, but she will.”
“Like I said, you don’t have to worry about anything. It is all going to be fine,” he smiled.
Alec was such a great guy. He had an amazing heart, and had such good intentions. He may be a little on the gullible side, but that’s cute. He’s cute. Really cute. There is just so much about him that is wonderful. There are also a lot of things that I don’t know about him. Well, that’s how relationships work, I guess. You get to really know each other and you become really close. Alec and I were already pretty close, considering it was the second day of our partnership. We seemed to have no problems; which is expected within the first 48 hours. After the kiss at lunch yesterday, I properly asked Alec to be my boyfriend. He said yes, of course. He had to leave to go rehearse, though. Afterschool we met up for a little and he walked me to Amy’s car. Oh, and speaking of walking, he walked me to all of my classes today.
In first period, Steve was a little taken aback by me and Alec holding hands. Also, when Alec sat down next to me and not him, Steve looked a little lonely. Skyler left him, and now Alec. Steve had no one and I was finally more popular than him. I obviously didn’t care about that; I did care about being the one that Alec chose. The whole time Alec wanted me, and he and Steve never were really together. Steve definitely failed his mission. He and Natalia overestimated Steve’s seductive abilities. Alec wasn’t that kind of guy, and Steve couldn’t try to force him into anything either. Then he would lose him. Luckily, he lost him anyway. The part that I liked that most was that I finally got that kiss with Alec, and many more. All I was scared about was that Natalia would find out, which she obviously did. Alec seemed to not care at all, considering that I did tell him what she would do if she were to find out. Well, it was nice knowing him.
