Our heads suddenly shot up. Did he say what I think he said? Amy nudged me and gave a reassuring smile. Alec Sanders, eh? He was definitely as cute as he sounded. Short blonde hair, bright green eyes, and totally gay. His outfit didn't pull any punches either; he wore a bright pink shirt, purple skinny jeans and to top it all off pink/purple striped flip-flops. This kid was something different, something interesting. I liked that. A lot.
Much to my disdain, Steve was very attentive to Alec as well. He wore his usual evil smirk. I shot him a glare that I hoped would eventually burn through his perfect back. He noticed that I was looking at him and turned to face me. I kept my intense glare. He gave me a cocky wink. I hated him so much. I gave him the middle finger; it was the best thing I could think of. I could see him mouth the word "dibs". I turned away quickly. I could hear his evil giggle.
"Umm, thank you for that wonderful introduction, Alec. You can go take your seat now," Mr. Berger said with a very bewildered expression. It was kind of funny actually. Alec sat down in a seat near the door. Steve was still staring at him. Freak.
"Hey, pay attention to me!" I could hear Skyler say to him.
"Oh, sorry babe," he apologized with his sights still set on Alec.
The rest of that class was a huge blur. I couldn't remember anything that Mr. Berger blabbed on about. It was something about his new diet that clearly wasn't working? I don't know. My mind was focused on any and all parts of Alec Sanders. Same for Amy, but for me, because he's gay.
Alec seemed so engrossed in all of the nonsense that our teacher was talking about. Maybe he was a really good student? Damn it. Unluckily, with Steve as the valedictorian, he won that round. I looked over. He was still not breaking focus. Talk about being a 'stalker.' I mean, I do it but with music in my ear so I am multi-tasking! But I guess he has that too since Skyler is blasting My Chemical Romance out of her gigantic headphones.
The escape bell finally rang and Alec leaped out of his seat. He picked up a messenger bag much like mine and wrapped it around his body. Ha, take that, Steve! Speaking of, he rose quickly and headed to the door, but much to my pleasure, Skyler grabbed him.
"Hey, you promised you'd walk me to my class. Remember?" she asked with a very threatening look.
"Oh... yeah. I forgot," Steve replied nervously. He turned around to see Amy and me with big smiles. His eyes made a deep glare. Skyler dragged him out of class quickly after that. I did the same with Amy and we ran to a secret spot by the north boys bathroom.
"Oh my god-" I started.
"I know, right?" Amy cut in.
"Did you see him?"
"Yes! I do have eyes."
"Ahhh he was perfect," I shrieked.
"He was definitely a cutie," she agreed
"Hey! He's mine!" I growled.
"Well, yeah, He is not into my species," she giggled.
"It's just... Steve."
"I know. When Steve wants something, he gets it."
"Not this time!" I yelled with surprising confidence.
"That's good to hear," she said with less confidence.
"Alec seems like a really cool guy!"
"Then talk to him," she smiled.
"...What?"
"Talk to him. If you want to keep him away from the all-powerful Steve Ariane, then talk to him. "
