Inheritance. Chapter 44

Dimitri POV

"Don't even get in-between me and a hot shower!" Aggie threatened as she barged past me and into my family home.

"I wouldn't dream of it." I shake my head at her as she bolts to the bathroom. After a two ten miles border runs this afternoon I too could use a wash but I wanted to see my girl first.

"Hi big brother." Vika called out in Russian followed with a powerful punch to my arm.

"Ouch." I groan and pretend to grab my arm in pain.

"Please! It was half power." She rolled her eyes.

"Well, then I get to punch your arm at half power too." I grin and punch my hand.

"Fuc- hang on my cell is ringing." She looked at the caller ID and grinned. "I have to take this, she is in the kitchen."

"Who's calling you ? You just got home?"  I called after her as she ran up the stairs to her room. Mmm I might have to ask Rose about who Vika might be talking to.

Putting that thought to aside, I headed into the kitchen. I saw the most heart warming sight when I entered. Mama was standing by a large pot on the stove, while my babushka was sitting next to Rose at the table.

"Mama! You don't have to go into that now." My mama scolded.

"Go into what." I asked, causing my Mama to jump.

"Oh Dimka your back. It's just Mama wittering on."

"Ah uh." I say and take a seat next to Roza. "Hey."

"Hey comrade." She flashed her maneater grin at me. She leaned in for a kiss but quickly sat back. "Eww you stink."

"Yeah, I know." I chuckled. "I will have a shower as soon as Aggie is finished."

"Mmm." Yeva said squinting her eyes at me. "I see you had another Spirit Travel."

"Excuse me?"

"You have visited another through the spirit realm."

"I think she means a spirit dream." Rose said. "Adrian used a spirit dream to find me in my coffin remember." Rose flicked her eyes to Yeva and then back to me. "I think you can also conducted them."

"That's impossible. I don't have any element power." I always used to believe that the most logical explanation had to be the truth but ever since I've met Rose, nothing seemed impossible or illogical anymore.

"Oh?" Rose said as she flip her hair, like she always does when challenged. "Last night you had a dream about a Texas farm, it had a cute little house, a barn and a stable."

What the hell! Yes I had a dream just like that but it was also a very dirty one that involved Rose.

I must of had a look of shock on my face as Rose now had a smug smile slapped on hers.

"How the hell can I produced a Spirit dream? I'm not a Moroi like Adrian, I am a Dhampir!"

"That I don't know." Rose said .

"It's in our blood that's why." Yeva said sipping her herbal tea. "It's our inheritance."

"Mama, is now the best time?" Mama asked Yeva with a look of concern.

"Better to face problems awake than to sleep peacefully in denial." Yeva snipped at Mama. "We waited to tell Karolina and look what happened."

"What happened to Karolina?" I asked.
