Dimitri POV

"Ragmoir was the one who awakened me 127 years ago." Godwin rasped. "I worked for him and his creator, Isaiah."

"Isaiah?" I asked horrified. Surely it can't be the same Isaiah that Rose had beheaded?

"Isaiah was the leader of our nest. He was obsessed with ending all of the Moroi Royal Lines." Godwin continued, a hint of glee crossed his features when he spoke of ending the Royal Lines. "Ragmoir took over after he was murdered a few months ago."

From the corner of my eye, I could see Stan shift his weight between his feet. He must of come to the same conclusion I had: Isaiah was killed by Rose.

"So Ragmoir wants to finish Isaiah's plans?" I asked, circling my finger behind my back, I motioned for Dora to write down his answers.

Godwin let out a cold full belly laugh towards the ceiling. With rods impaling his body and his lips pulled back over his fangs, I am sure the sight of him laughing will forever be burned into my mind.

"Ragmoir has so much more ambition! More sight!" He hissed at me. "Isaiah was a elder but he was a one issue leader. I am glad he was killed."

"So what is Ragmoir ambition?"

"Humans." He spat.

"Humans?" I was actually perplexed.

"Humans are becoming dangerous. They are becoming smarter and are building technology and weapons that could harm even us." He growled. "The natural order needs to be restored. The ones at the top of the food chain should rule."

"So he wants Strigoi to rule over the Moroi?" I asked putting all the pieces together in my mind.

"Humans are nothing but cattle yet the Moroi lets them do as they please. It's only a matter of time until the Moroi world is discovered and war breaks out. The Moroi are to weak to put the humans in their place." Godwin spat in Dora direction." And Dhampirs are half breed abominations. Strigoi are at the top of food chain and will rule above all others. Ragmoir will put the proper hierarchy in place for this world."

I glanced around the room, I met the gaze of everyone in my team to make sure what Godwin had said, had truly sunk in. The Strigoi are planning to over throw the Moroi Throne and then the Human world, enslaving Moroi, Dhampir and Human alike.

"It will never happen!" Stan yelled, fury seeping from him.

"Alto." I warned.

"Hahahaha!" Godwin chuckled evilly. "But it's already happening. We Awaken are a symbol of power and freedom. People flock to us, seeking to be turned, to be one of us. Those people, have already infiltrated your Council, your Guardian numbers and the Human Governments. You think the war is about to begin...... It's already begun!"

"Then we will kill every last one of you!" Stan yelled again.

"Stan, final warning!" I hissed over Godwin's laughter.

"For every one of us you kill, two will be turned. You will never conquer us." Godwin continued to laugh at Stan. "After Ragmoir hears of my death, he will slaughter you for killing his favourite devotee." He added with pride.

"I am sure we he will get his chance." I replied dryly. "Where does be plan to attack first?"

Over the last few questions, Godwin's  burn wounds around the rods had healed well, which seemed to have improved his resolve to tighten his tongue. Not wanting to play games, I flicked the switch and left it running for a minute. Godwin's scream were growing louder by the second.
