Dimitri POV
I packed my bags with the biggest fucking grin on my face. Roza is alive and everything seems right in the world again. All I want is to debrief at Court and set off for Russia as quickly as possible. My flight to Court is due to take off in a couple of hours at 11:30am. Which means we will be arriving in the middle of the Moroi night and therefore forcing me to remain there for at least 24 hours longer, much to my dismay. Ramachandra had explained everything that had happen to Rose and after how the Queen has treated her, I feel my obligation to the crown dwindling.
Ramachandra had left not long after I got off the phone with Roza. We planned to meet back at Court a couple of hours after I arrive, then we will head to Abe's house near St.Basils. Before he left he had given me a untraceable cell phone that Abe had programmed with his, Ramachandra's, Pavel's and Rose's numbers.
Rose and I have been texting back and forth while I packed. We continued to declare our love for one another and lightly discussed what has happened in our time apart. It amuses me greatly that not only is she is now a student at my old school, but is also a class mate of my youngest sister. Mama will be thrilled. Ever since Vika's best friend dropped out of school, she has been keeping some spiteful girls as company.
Rose's last text informed me that she was heading to dinner and as St. Basils has a strict no cell phone rule, she didn't want to be seen using it in the grand dinning hall. Appreciating she won't be texting me back for a while, I stuffed my cell in my back pocket and headed down to check out.
"Heyyyyyyy!" Aggie grinned as I walked over to where she and Dora stood, surrounded by luggage. "You look happy! Did someone get their willy wet?"
I gave her a half exasperated half amused glare. Of course! They probably think I spent a few hours in bed with that woman.
"Oh grow up Aggie." Dora snapped, crossing her arms and strutting off to where Stan was in the process of checking out.
"What's her problem?" I muttered to Aggie. Dora looked seriously pissed off.
"It's nothing. She is just being ridiculous!" Aggie angrily sighed, grabbing a couple of the luggage bags and hurling them towards the door.
"It doesn't look like nothing." I stated grabbing the rest of the bags and followed her out of the hotel.
"I asked Dora if she wanted to go on a real date now that this mission is over." She explained through gritted teeth. "She said 'she can't be seen in a relationship with a Dhampir, especially a female Dhampir. But we can still be friends with benefits, on the down low'. I thought she was different you know? That we stood a chance for a real relationship. So I told her I wasn't interested in that type of arrangement." She finished, flicking her hair angrily.
"And I assume she didn't take that well." I stated unsurprised.
Dora was much more forward thinking than the average Moroi, but she still was a Royal Moroi. She will have to marry well and procreate more Royalty, or be shunned by her family.
"She is annoyed that I have 'caught feelings' and have refused her offer of being her fuck buddy." She snorted. "I doubt she has ever been told no before."
I like Dora immensely and she has been a great help on this mission but she can still act like a spoilt Moroi. Aggie is most likely right, she has probably been told no only a couple of times in her life.
"Enough about my love life. Tell me about your night with that Aphrodite incarnate." She grinned up at me.
I grinned back down at her, but not for the reason she believed. I could tell Aggie, she was my partner and already knew everything.
