Rose's POV

Ugh! This time hop thing is giving me a headache! Opening my eyes, I found myself alone in the Conference room. I stared at the spot Dimitri had stood before me seconds ago. While it was only seconds for me, I think it might of been day or more for him. Suddenly my mind caught up with my body.

Dimitri was being reallocated! When?! Where?!

Tasha popped into my mind. If the bitch found out that Dimitri is no longer Lissa's Guardian, she would no doubt repeat her offer! Would he say yes? He thinks I am dead after all. Anger filled me as I pictured Tasha rubbing her hands all over his chest, leaning in for a kiss. Stop it now! It won't happen! I will get back.

Pushing my fears out of my mind, I focused on my next step. Lissa. My gut is telling me that she is the link to get me home. Clapping my hands once, I set off to find her.

As I walked onto the courtyard, I looked up at the sky. The golden rays of the moring sun give a bright colour to the clouds and trees around the campus. It must be the beginning of the Moroi night, so I headed towards Lissa's dorm.

Reaching the entrance door to the Moroi dorms, I was startled when the door swag open and a short, red haired Guardian stormed through it and me.

It felt horrible. Falling through Mason might of felt like walking through a freezing shower, but having a living person walk through me was like being impaled with a hundred red hot swords.

Turning to watch my mother's red, curly hair bounce as she walked away, I felt a strange overwhelming need to follow her. The further she went the stronger it got. Looking back towards Lissa's room I sighed heavily and turned to follow my mother.

I wasn't sure where I expected my mother to be heading but it certainly wasn't the guest dorm. Her room was in the Guardians building and as far as I am aware, Adrian was the only one in the guest dorm. Why would she visit Adrian?

As we walked past Adrian's door I hear a strange famillar groan. Before I could investigate, my mother knocked on the door at the end of the corridor. Stepping behind my mother, I saw my mother's lawyer, Abe, answer the door.

"Ah, Janine. Please come in." Abe invited.

Following my mother into the room, I felt a little shocked when she stood on her tiptoes to kiss the Moroi's cheek. Showing my mother to the sofa, Abe proceed to pour them both a glass of wine.

"Thank you Pavel, go and enjoy your evening." Abe said dismissing his Guardian.

Passing my mother her glass, Abe sat next to her as I perched on the arm chair opposite. Taking a single sip before placing her glass on the coffee table, my mother laid a hand on Abe's knee leaning towards him expectantly. There was a strange intimacy about them. Who is this Moroi? GOD, I hope they aren't about to get hot and heavy with one another.

"Well?" My mother asked intently.

"He is at no fault, Janine." Abe stated as he observed her over his glass.

"Bullshit!" She hissed as she snatched back her hand.

"No, Janine." Abe rebuked sharply. "It's bullshit that you left a 4 year old at an academy and never visited her! You were never there for her. And now that she is gone you are blaming everyone apart from yourself."

I have never seen my mother look so shocked or angry in my life, and I have seen her angry. A small guilty part of me was glad someone told her that abandoning me was a shitty thing to do. I could understand being left at the Acdamey so she could work as a guardian, I actually admired her career. What I resented was the silence, all I wanted was a letter or phone call every now if she couldn't visit.
