Dimitri POV
"Here you go Sir." A air hostess said as she handed me a small bundle. "Enjoy your journey.
"Thank you." I smiled at her, causing her to blush.
"Quit flirting with the poor women." Aggie laughed, taking a bundle for her own and causing the air hostess blush to deepen as she scurried away.
"Why did you embarrass her like that?" I sighed at Aggie.
"Because it was funny." She snorted, as she opened her bundle to reveal a pillow, blanket and headphones. "Too bad for her that you are on your way to be reunited with your one true love." She mocked.
"Oh shut up and go to sleep." I snap back, but I could feel a small smile tug at my lips.
"Don't mind if I do." She replied getting herself comfortable. "I'm going to try to get some beauty sleep on the way to Germany." She added, reclining her seat back and pulling the blanket over her head.
Shaking my head in amusement, I turned to gaze out of the window. Looking at the rainy Seattle airport, I can't believe I managed to convince the Queen to let me to to Russia. Resting my head back, I replayed the whole conversation in my mind.
"Head Guardian Croft, Guardian Belikov, Guardian Muluka." Tatiana started. "I have read your reports about the Strigoi army and I want your thoughts on how we should proceed."
"Her Majesty, myself and a few trusted Strigoi strategy specialists, have discussed your mission's findings in detail over the last couple of weeks." Croft continued. "We have come to the conclusion that the Court and Palace isn't the Strigoi primary target at present."
"No." I answer. "From the information we have collected from Strigoi Godwin and Human Toby, Radomir doesn't want to attack Court or the Palace until he has removed the reigning monarch from the throne."
"And what if Queen Tatiana never leaves Court?" Croft asked me.
"From what Toby said, I believe Radomir will eventually attack the Palace, once his army is big enough to easily defeat it's defences." I replied to a annoyed looking Croft and a slightly smug looking Tatiana.
"Don't mind head guardian Croft." Tatiana when she noticed my confused glance between her and Croft. "Croft would have me hiding away in my royal chambers forever."
I could see irritation flash across Croft's face as Aggie snorted softly under her breath.
"I am sure you have been informed of what the press has been printing about me lately." She aimed towards me.
"Adrian has caught me up to speed." I replied as there was no point in pretending I hadn't.
"Good. So we can move on past that topic." She dismissed. "Where do you think he will target first?"
"I don't know." I replied, much to the Queen's displeasure.
"You don't KNOW?!" She spat.
"No." I said unfazed. "I believe Radomir will continue to increase his army until he is given a opportunity."
"What do you mean?" Croft asked straightening in his chair.
"What is time to a Strigoi?" I asked him. "Nothing. When the Queen leaves the safety of Court she will be the target. Radomir is from a different era. He will want to remove the monarch so he can 'rightfully' claim the throne and rule."
"So you also what to lock me away." Queen Tatiana sneered. "Have me hide like a weak coward."
Clearly the press and rumours have gotten to her, she looked slightly insane.
