"I'm fine Christian! I don't need therapy." Lissa hissed, over the breakfast table, gripping her spoon in anger.
"Babe, I'm not trying to be a dick. I am just worried about you. Your emotions are all over the place at the moment. I just thought that if you talked to someone it might help." Christian implored, worry evident in his eyes.
"My best friend just died! I'm allowed to be upset for a while!" She screamed, hitting her O.J glass away from her.She was breathing very heavy as she watched the glass roll off the table and shatter on the floor. Underneath the terrible rage she was experiencing, she felt a twinge of regret. That had been a Dragomir breakfast glass. That was the third heirloom she had broken since she and Christian had moved into the Dragomir's family Town House at Court. My mother would of been ashamed of me, she thought to herself.
"Lissa? Babe? Look at me." Christian whispered from the left of her.
She turned her head and met his beautiful blue eyes. He was kneeling beside her, holding her hand.
"Lissa, do you remember what Adrian said about the darkness?" He asked, gently stroking her hand.
Anger and rage was bubbling up within her again. She wanted to pull her hand from his grasp and scream about how he has no idea what she was feeling. That he has never had a friend in his life, so he couldn't possibly understand the love she had for Rose.
But a small thought on the edge of her mind was telling her to listen to him.
"He said that now Rose is gone, you have to bare the full weight of the darkness. That darkness feeds on your negative emotions." He continued softly, dropping a kiss to her hand. "I think the darkness is fueling this rage you have. We need to fight it babe."
Darkness? She thought. Of course!
"I don't think I can. Rose was always so much stronger than me. I can't do this without her." She sobbed.
Her emotions suddenly snapped from pure rage and anger to a deep depression. The old urge to release her pain with a cut started to resurface.
"You are! You can!" Christian begged, pulling Lissa close to him. "I believe in you Lissa." He added, tilting her chin up and giving her a soft but desperate kiss.
His kiss seem to light a beacon in her brain. She immediately became aware of the darkness levels within her and that the love from Christian touch was helping to keep it in check.
She suddenly needed him, to have him love and caress her entire body. She slipped her arms around his neck, pulling his closer and deepening the kiss.
Feeling her mood change, Christian pulled back and searched her face.
"Please, this is helping." She whispered to him urgently. "Please. I need you."
He looked at her for another moment or two before he returned his lips to hers. Without breaking their kiss, he got to his feet and wrapped his arms around her waist. In one smooth movement, he lifted her from her chair and placed her on the edge of the table, with her legs wrapped around his waist.
As she started to unbuttoned his shirt, he dropped his hands to her thighs, pushing her flowey skirt up pass her knees, to her hips.
When she had undone the last of his buttons, she quick pulled her top over her head and threw it to the floor. Her breasts sitting beautifully in her sliver bra.
