*Over the next two weeks, at some point, everyone but Tony has visited you*

*Steve stays in the room with you the whole time, he doesn't say anything to anyone, but talks to you for hours hoping you'll hear him*

Steve: "I miss you y/n"

"I wish you could hear me"

"I wish you could reply"

"I know the last time we spoke didn't end well, but..."

"I still love you, and I think I always will"

*Meanwhile, the rest of the Avengers are having a chat*

Sam: "I'm worried about Steve. He doesn't eat, he barely sleeps"

Nat: "You know he won't until she wakes up"

Thor: "He cares a great deal about this woman"

Wanda: "He's not the only one..."

*She looks at Tony, busy at work*

*He's rambling and whispering to himself about how to find Thanos*

Tony: "Nope.."

Rhody: "I've seen this before. It's how he copes when someone he cares about get hurt"

Bruce: "So what can we do? For both of them"

Nat: "We just pray she wakes up soon"

*Tony can't sleep one night after being up working so he finally decides to come and visit you*

*Steve isn't there so he sits down next to your bed*

Tony: "I'm sorry Y/N.. this is all my fault"

"I shouldn't have taken you on that mission. It was too much, too soon"

"I guess if you could hear me, you'd tell me I'm stupid for blaming myself"

"But I can't.."

*Just then, Steve appears at the door*

Tony: "Oh hi, I was just about to leave"

Steve: "Why now?"

Tony: "What?"

Steve: "Why only now have you come to see her? Did you only just realise that you might actually care about someone other than yourself?"

Tony: "No.."

Steve: "What then?"

Tony: "BECAUSE I BLAME MYSELF"

Steve: "..."

Tony: "What happened to her, I feel like that's on me"

"Okay, I assigned her on that mission with us and I'm the reason she got hurt"

"I couldn't bare seeing her everyday, lying there, knowing it's my fault she's like that"

Steve: "You can't blame yourself. She wouldn't want you to"

*Tony just looks at Steve angry and upset*
