Part 22 - Tony Comforts You

*Tony heads into the room you're in*

Tony: "So I've just seen Steve heading out with a bag, what happened?"

*You don't answer*

*He notices your bloodshot, teary eyes*

Tony: "Y/N, what happened? Are you okay?"

Y/N: "He..he left"

*You slump onto the bed*

"Because of me"

Tony: "What? Why?"

*He comes and sits on the bed next to you*

Y/N: "Because he's in love with me"

Tony: "Excuse me, what"

Y/N: "Whilst you know that me and Steve had that one night thing back when I was training, what you don't know is what happened after..."

*You explain everything, from Steve leaving to seeing him again at the compound to what you heard whilst you were in the coma*

Y/N: "So that's why he left. He said he couldn't watch me be with someone else while he still feels that way about me"

Tony: "Okay, uh, I just have um, one question"

"Do you still feel that way about him?"

Y/N: "No of course not. I did before and I told him that but it took so much for me to get over him, that when I saw him again, I promised myself I wouldn't fall for him again. Because it was too painful the first time"

Tony: "So why were you upset when I came in?"

Y/N: "Because I feel guilty. He left his job, his friends, his home, all because of me"

Tony: "No, he left because of him. It was his fault he ruined his chance with you, and it's his feelings for you that made him leave"

"Don't blame yourself. Isn't that what your always telling me?"

Y/N: "Damn you Stark, using my own words against me"

*You smile slightly*

Tony: "Well I just wanted to see you smile"

*You look at him and smile more*

Y/N: "Turns out just looking at you can make me do that"

*He leans in and kisses you*

*It's a long tender kiss and you feel yourself melt into it*

*You feel comfortable, you feel happy*
