Part 55 - Simple Is Overrated

Y/N: "Hi"

Steve: "Hey. How you feeling?"

Y/N: "A little bruised but I'm good. How are you?"

Steve: "Well Tony didn't kill me so I guess that's a positive"

Y/N: "Did he speak to you?"

Steve: "Speak? More like we shouted at each other"

Y/N: "Ugh..I hate this"

"I hate the fact that you and him will never get on, you'll always be at each other's throats about something, and it's usually about me.."

Steve: "Hey don't blame yourself"

Y/N: "But that's how it's always gonna be isn't it? As long as I'm with Tony, he'll always be insecure and you'll always be jealous"

Steve: "No it won't. Look as much as it pains me to admit it, you and Tony are good for each other. You make him happy and he clearly makes you happy. I'll be fine, I'll find someone"

*You sigh and look up at the ceiling*

Y/N: "You know, some part of me wishes that we could go back to that night. You wouldn't leave in the morning and we'd be together. How much easier that would have been"

*You look back at Steve"

Steve: "Don't say that. You don't mean that. Otherwise you never would have met Tony"

Y/N: "I know but life would have been a lot simpler"

Steve: "Simple is boring and overrated"

Y/N: "Hah yeah I guess so.."
