Part 32 - He Lied

*Steve is still downstairs when Bucky comes down*

Bucky: "Oh hey, you're still up?"

Steve: "Yeah, just thinking. Oh thanks for earlier by the way, what you said to Y/N"

Bucky: "Well I did say I wouldn't lie to her but technically you never did tell me her name so"

Steve: "Well I appreciate it anyway"

Bucky: "No problem. I take it you didn't tell her then?"

Steve: "How could I?"

Bucky: "Because she should know how you feel, how you still feel"

Steve: "She's with Tony now, and she's happy, I can't ruin that for her"

Bucky: "And you're happy just to sit back and watch?"

Steve: "What choice do I have? At least this way I get to be in her life somehow"

Bucky: "You must really love her, cos I don't think I've ever seen anyone sacrifice their own happiness for someone else's like this"

Steve: "Yeah, well, she can't know that I'm still in love with her. I told her I'm over it and that's how it has to stay"

"So you can't tell her"

Bucky: "I won't, I promise"

"Just don't let this break you"

*He leaves*

*Meanwhile*

Tony: "Hey you"

Y/N: "Hi "

Tony: "You coming to bed?"

Y/N: "Yeah, one second"

"Ah I think I left my phone downstairs"

Tony: "Be quick"

Y/N: "I will"

*You head downstairs towards the main room but before you get there, you hear voices*

**Bucky: "you must really love her, cos I don't think I've ever seen anyone sacrifice their own happiness for someone else's like this"

Steve: "yeah, well she can't know that I'm still in love with her. I told her I'm over it and that's how it has to stay"

"So you can't tell her"

Bucky: "I won't, I promise"

"Just don't let this break you"**

*You stand there shocked and confused*

*But before you can do anything, you hear Bucky coming towards you so you run back upstairs*

Tony: "That WAS quick"

*You look a little flustered*

Tony: "Everything okay?"

Y/N: "Yeah, yeah, fine"

*You climb into bed next to him, cuddle into him, and fall asleep on his chest but you can't stop thinking about what Steve said*
