*Tony sits down next to you*
Tony: "Hey"
Y/N: "Hi"
Y/N: "So...they told me what you'd been doing while I was, you know, and uh, we'll find him but you need to stop blaming yourself for what happened"
Tony: "I know but-"
Y/N: "I get it. Rhodey told me what happened. And I'm so sorry"
"But what happened to me, to Pepper, that's not your fault. And you can't keep blaming yourself, because the weight of that guilt...it's gonna kill you. And I can't watch you do that to yourself" *tears fill your eyes*
Tony: "Okay," *he puts his hand on top of yours*
"I'll stop blaming myself. But I am not going to stop until we find him"
"Because I do, I care about you..a lot, and that's something I never thought I could do again"
*You're silent*
*Even though you knew how Tony might feel about you, hearing it come from him, it still comes as a shock to you*
Y/N: "I care about you too"
*He smiles*
Y/N: "But..I think I need to talk to Steve. We haven't spoken properly since just after I woke up and I think I owe him that much"
Tony: "Yeah..okay"
Y/N: "Okay, well I'm gonna go. I'll see you at the party tonight?"
Tony: "Absolutely"
