I didn't know what was about to happen next so I silently followed him. It seems like the man doesn't have much restraint when it comes to me. He gets mad very often and that makes me anxious.
He started the engine as I kept my gaze fixed outside the window. He didn't speak a word nor did I but I could feel he kept taking away glances at me.
A moment later, the car entered a market, he started to speed up but suddenly, I saw mom in a shop with Jia. My eyes widened as I started to panic.
"Stop the car," I demanded but he ignored me.
"Pull over Jimin, it's important," I pleaded but the man wouldn't listen.
"Stop the car or I'll pull the brakes myself," I threatened without having any clue where the brakes in his Lamborghini were located. I took off the seatbelt as he started giving me those cold looks which I avoided.
"Are you crazy?" He said slowing down the pace as he shifted his gaze from the road to me.
"Stop the car please," I begged as tears formed in the corner of my eyes. I wanted my family to stop punishing me for the mistakes I didn't make.
He paused for a while and halted at the corner. I didn't look at him and just tried to open the door but it was locked.
"What's s wrong?" He asked raising his head to reveal cold, intense, anger-filled eyes.
I knew I had to give an explanation and only then would the man let me leave.
"I saw mom in the market. Let me go, I have to talk to her, please," I requested looking straight into his eyes as his icy aura calmed a bit when we kept staring at each other.
I tried to open the door again but it was still locked.
"What's your problem, open the door," I let out as I knew if I'd waste time, mom would leave.
"Ara, you shouldn't---," he murmured but I didn't listen. I unlocked it myself figuring out the button and ran outside in the rain to find mom and Jia.
It took me a few minutes to figure out the shop I saw them and finally, I caught sight of Jia standing in a corner taking shelter from the rain.
I smiled thinking they might be missing me. I ran towards mom to pull her into a hug but Jia stood in between.
"What are you doing here?" She asked looking displeased.
"I'm here to meet mom," I said as mom turned to face me but didn't even smile once.
"Well, she doesn't want to meet you either," Jia said jerking me away by my shoulder.
"Mom, it's not my fault and you know, I miss you. Why wouldn't you call me?" I asked trying to avoid Jia as I knew she hated me more than anything else right now.
Suddenly, I saw Jia clenching her hands, fingers might be stabbing hard into her palms as she forced on a wicked smile on her face.
"Your stupid husband is restless as he's honking continuously. Get back to him or he might come here and take my job as well from me thinking I am harassing you," she said as I stood stunned.
"He clearly said that he broke up with me because of you. You seduced him and now, you have all of his money," she said as mom scoffed in anger.
"We would give you whatever you wanted, why would you try to steal your sister's fiance?" Mom yelled as emotions flooded into my eyes. Pain, heartache, sadness and helplessness along with a rush of tears was all that I could feel.
