Jimin was being nice to me in ways I didn't expect him to and I started to think that he has developed feelings for me or has something that he has been hiding but there isn't.
We barely talk but whenever we do, it turns out to be a misunderstanding and after that, I don't see Jimin come home the whole night and when he does, he's fully drowned in alcohol.
He might have someone else in his life or maybe, he's getting back with Jia?
Since the time Scott got fired, I didn't see Jia around but maybe, all the nights when Jimin isn't home, he would be going to Jia or some other girl because whenever he comes back, he looks lost and devastated.
Did he love Jia to this extent that it's hurting him so much?
Looking at him in that state felt like something has ruthlessly clutched my heart and I could feel that pain that he might be experiencing though the reason to me was unknown.
He came out of his room dressed up in a suit. Though it was an important day in office, the Jeon's were going to be in the conference with us, Jimin didn't look quite interested and ready for it.
He didn't wear his jacket, his tie was loose and the top buttons were unbuttoned exposing his collar bones. He had rolled up his cuffs revealing his arms which added a hint of casualness where he had to look formal.
He ran his fingers through his hair in frustration as he went through a few of his files.
I took slow steps towards the gate since it was already time for me to be in the office. Jimin takes me with him every day but today, he looked stressed and since he is the vice-chairperson of the company, he wouldn't have to be punctual but me, I'm just an intern and nobody knows that I'm married to this man either.
"Where are you heading to?" He asked in a cold tone as his eyes casually swept past me. The minute I turned my gaze to meet his, he raised his eyebrow cocking his head to the side.
"It's nine already, I have to be in office since the Jeon's are going to be there," I replied in a low voice.
He consciously lowered his hands to his side's, they were balled up so hard that blue veins protruded. I have no idea what he has been frustrated about since morning but the next minute I heard him order, "Get in the car," which made me flinch.
Was he going to go to the conference room with a loose tie and his hair covering his forehead?
I quickly followed him but just like every day, he didn't sit in the backseat but let the driver take a holiday.
He sat down in his sports car as I sat next to him and drove off in the top speed to the office and within minutes, the car stopped. I sighed in relief.
Usually, he would make me get down at a distance away from the office but today, he didn't. He drove the car himself and stopped at the entrance where a lot of staff spotted us coming out from the same car.
All his assistants gathered around him but he didn't even greet anyone.
"He seems to be in an awful mood today," one of his assistants whispered.
"It's going to be a hard day for all of us," replied another as I stood in the crowd.
"What is this intern doing with Jimin sir?" I heard a few girls gossip as they kept eyeing me. I lowered my head and quickly made my way to the desk.
A few minutes later after the meeting with Mr Min got over where he discussed the party that's going to take place, I felt a tap on my shoulder.
I turned around to find an assistant who informed me that Mr Jeon waiting for me in the conference room.
A faint smile formed on my face as I was happy I could finally meet a friend of mine. Though he was a senior, he treated me well in school and I remember, he even shared dumplings that he got from home with me.
The meeting didn't start yet and the entire staff wasn't as organized and perfectly managed as it used to be either and the reason was Jimin and a sudden change in his mood.
I started to follow the assistant to the conference room but at the same instant, someone grabbed my waist pulling me into a cabin. The lights were off so till the time I could make out that it was Jimin, he pinned my arms to the wall caging me.
My breath got unsteady as I tried to struggle away from his grip but it was of no use since he grabbed my wrists tighter in one hand as his other hand wrapped my waist getting me more closer to him.
His strong cologne suited his personality perfectly. I bit my lip and my fingers tightened on him as I was trying my best to get away from him.
"What are you doing Jimin?" I whispered, my voice barely audible.
"The meeting is going to start after twenty minutes, where were you going?" He asked in a cold tone, his arms still holding me in a position where his face was just a few inches away from mine.
I gulped as I could sense he didn't want me to go inside.
"Mr Jeon called me inside," I answered boldly being done with his confusing attitude.
I tried my best to free my wrists from his grip and said, "What is wrong with you, there's an important meeting and you are here with me?"
In an instant, his eyes dimmed as he sighed in frustration and ran his fingers through his hair. His face was perfect, I kept looking at his beautifully carved features, his jawbones, his perfect lips and suddenly, he set me free from his clasp.
I straightened my dress without making any eye contacts with him and started to leave.
"You are my wife, remember that," he said in a demanding tone.
"I'm your wife on papers that too, only for six months and not in front of the world as well, you need to know that too," I answered still letting my back face him and left the cabin quickly.
I tried to talk to him politely but he didn't like it, despite he even said that he doesn't care about me and all of a sudden, he wants me to remember that I'm his wife? Why is he behaving in a way I am so clueless about?
During school times, he didn't like Jungkook around me but he didn't leave Jia and her friends either. He chose his group and didn't utter a word when Jia and her friends bullied me in school.
He treated me well, took care of me and was friendly with me only until he didn't start dating Jia and once they did, he distanced himself from me for six years.
I was wrong to think that this man cares for me because he did in high school but now, he's a different person and someone who I don't know anymore. He's so confused that I never understand what he wants from me nor does he want to talk it out.
I will now get things my way, I do remember he is Park Jimin who is my husband. He said he doesn't care about me, let me find it out my way. I will get my answers in ways I feel I can because I don't want to be a part of his complicated world anymore.
"Park Jimin, get ready," I whispered as I entered the conference room where I found Jungkook standing with a bright smile on his face, wearing a blue tight-fitted suit.
