soon marcella decided to speak up.
"can i sit?" she simply asked carol, an understanding tone present in her voice.
carol looked towards marcella, offering her a small nod.
the green eyed lady sat next to carol, not sure what to do next.
"i'm so sorry carol, for everything that's happened. loosing your child is the most painfu-" catching both marcella and daryl off guard, carol cuts marcella off.
"thankyou for doing what you did marcella, shooting it like that." carol intertwined the two's hands.
daryl left the rv, soon after, presumably going to sophia's funeral. but as carol kept a fairly tight grip on marcella's hands, the younger woman of the two understood that she was needed by carol at the moment. so she stayed with her and intended too as long as carol needed.
nobody said anything after that, the two just sitting together in a some what comfortable silence as they watched the clouds pass by slowly. marcella always enjoyed looking at the sky; something so simple that's taken for granted that is never the same, yet always beautiful. the young brunette who somehow kept clear skin, even in the apocalypse, admired the fact that there was no two clouds that were the same, she enjoyed watching the different shapes dance and curl throughout the sky.
"you know-" carol began after a long while, marcella turning towards the lady that still held her hands to pay attention. "i think our girls are together up there, watching down on their mamma's together." the short haired lady finished, a smile of contentment present on her face.
"yeah, and they know that we're okay because we are here together, just like we know they're okay." marcella agreed, building on the two's conspiracy that in reality was just to put carol's mind at ease.
