"lori... can i erm... talk to you about something?" marcella nervously asked the older woman who was sat with her sleeping boy.
"yeah, sure."
marcella walked over, sitting on the chair next to carl's bed.
"shane tried to rape you." marcella stated simply and with a deep, quiet voice.
"...yeah. but you stopped him and i can never show how thankful i am for that... i don't know what i would have done if you-" marcella cut lori off as the older woman began to grow emotional.
"you don't need to show how thankful you are, i've been in the same situation."
"oh hunny, you can tell me. it's safe here, you can tell me what happened." lori reassured marcella, sitting up in the bed more.
"when i was in the woods, this man heard me calling for sophia and he shoved me against a tree and whispered in my ear and then he began to unzip his pants." marcella stopped herself as a singular tear fell from her eye.
"and what happened?" lori asked after a pause.
"i stabbed him." marcella smiled slightly at this, more in anger than happiness. "and then i cut his hand off. clean off. it was almost satisfying." marcella couldn't help her smile from growing bigger.
"i- i don't know what to say. i'm just glad your okay." lori told the younger girl that she valued so deeply.
"thanks... i just wanted to tell someone. glenn is out so..." marcella then began to walk out of the room, stopping to say one last this to lori. "if you ever need me, i'll be here."
"thankyou marc." lori stated, a small smile on her face as tears began to flow, her thankyou a genuine one.
marcella left then, needing some way to free her anger. the ex-scientist decided that although she hates exercise, she should probably try to build some muscle ready for any more scenarios like the one she faced not even an hour ago.

so erm i know people don't like lori and i'm not the biggest fan of her myself, but i think it makes sense for marcella and lori to have a friendship, especially due to how much marcella has already done for lori and carl. what do you guys think?
