Just a Skyrim fanfic: Extended cut

Exploring Ustengrav

(At Ustengrav)

(Leonidas sneaks up to the edge of a hole in the ground, and sees a couple of bandits in it)

(He jumps off the edge and throws a knife mid air, killing a bandit)

(As he lands he extends his assassin blades and kills the other two bandits)

Leonidas: The unseen blade is the deadliest

(Leonidas walks through a door, slides down a steep path, and takes cover)

(He sees a couple of necro mages raising the dead)

Leonidas: This shouldn't take too long...

(Leonidas uses his bow to shoot an necro mage in the head with an arrow, making some of the draugr drop to the ground)

Necro Mage: Who's there?! Show yourself!

(Leonidas throws a rock, making it sound like footsteps)

Necro Mage: Found... you

(The necromancer only sees a rock when Leonidas sneaks up behind him and stabs him in the head with his assassin blade, making the rest of the draugr fall down)

(Leonidas ventures further into the ruins, and he finds some other dead mages)

Leonidas: Sword wounds. Someone was definitely here before me. Probably after the horn, if they somehow knew about it. Wait, what's that noise?

(A fire mage is fighting some draugr, but gets stabbed by a sword)

Draugr: (Angry draugr noises)

Leonidas: Perhaps it's time I introduced myself

(Leonidas shoots 3 arrows from his bow, killing all 3 draugrs with a headshot)

Leonidas: Headache?

(Leonidas walks deeper into the ruins only to find a bunch of dead draugr)

Leonidas: Well. Whoever was here last at least saved me the trouble of having to clear out all these draugr

(Leonidas finds a dead end, but also finds a pull chain. When he pulls it, a secret passage opens up. He slides down another steep path and finds a chest, but with a string on it)

Leonidas: Now I just have to aim this very carefully...

(Leonidas throws a knife, cutting the string, and making some poison darts fly out of some holes in the wall while he is a safe distance away. Leonidas then opens the chest to find some treasure)

Leonidas: A decent amount of gold. Arrows, and a potion, but no horn yet. Probably better defended than a petty dart trap

(Leonidas continues to navigate through the ruins until he finds a door to the Ustengrav depths)

Leonidas: It's beautiful...

(Leonidas jumps off a cliff assassins creed style into a body of water, climbs out, and approaches a closed gate)

Leonidas: Now how-?

(Leonidas leans on a stone making it glow red, and open the gate. When he walks away from it, the stone stops glowing and the gate shuts)

Leonidas: Hmm. I'm gonna have to be quick about this

(Leonidas runs past the stones and the gates open up)

Leonidas: WULD!

(He dashes forward and uses the momentum to slide under the gates before they close. But then he finds another trap)

Leonidas: Trap tiles. And no way around. WULD!

(Leonidas moves as fast as he can over the trap tiles, narrowly avoiding the fire)

(Some frostbite spiders are crawling towards Leonidas)

Leonidas: How many obstacles are there?

(Leonidas jumps and rolls out of the way of the spiders spitting their frostbite venom. He then hits them all with arrows, killing them all)

Leonidas: And these cobwebs need to go

(Leonidas uses his fire spell to burn the cobwebs. He then walks past the cobwebs and pulls a chain. With the door opened he sees a pedestal surrounded by water)

(There is no horn, but there's a note)

Note: Dragonborn. I need to speak with you. Urgently. Rent the attic room at the sleeping giant inn in Riverwood, and I'll meet you there. From a friend

Leonidas: What? The sleeping giant inn doesn't even have an attic room. Plus, no one I know lives there except for... (Growls)

(Leonidas crumbles the note in his hand and burns it with fire magic)

Leonidas: Delphine
