Just a Skyrim fanfic: Extended cut

The great estate heist

(Leonidas waits until nightfall, swims up to the goldenglow estate, sneaks up to the edge, and sees a group of mercenaries)

(Leonidas readies his bow and puts three arrows on it. He lets go, and three men fall to the ground with arrows in them)

Mercenary: Wha-?

(Leonidas sweeps the mercenary's legs and stabs him in the forehead with a knife)

(Two more mercenaries are walking around)

(Leonidas grabs them both, butts their heads together, and kills them both with his assassin blades)

Leonidas: Eat your heart out, Vex

(Leonidas dumps all of the dead mercenaries into the water surrounding the estate)

(Leonidas uses a lockpick to try and pick the lock on the door, but it snaps)

Leonidas: Hmm. That's a hell of a lock

(After a couple more snapped pins, he manages to get it open and sneak inside)

Leonidas: (Whispers) LAAS YAH NIR

(Leonidas sees where everyone in the estate is. He comes up behind a mercenary sitting at a table and snaps his neck. He then moves him to look like he's slumped over drunk)

(Another mercenary is coming around a corner, but Leonidas stabs him in the face with his knife, moves him into another room, and hides his body under a bed)

(Leonidas kicks a gate open, heads upstairs, and picks the lock to a door, leading him straight in)

Leonidas: (Whispers) LAAS YAH NIR

(Leonidas detects a few life signatures)

(Leonidas knees a mercenary in the stomach and stabs him in the back of the head with his assassin blade)

(Leonidas then sneaks up behind another mercenary and slits his throat with his knife)

(After wiping off his blades, Leonidas picks the lock to another door to find Aringoth)

Aringoth: Huh?!

(Leonidas grabs Aringoth by the throat)

Leonidas: Shh. No witnesses

Aringoth: Wait-!

(Leonidas extends his assassin blade, stabbing Aringoth through the head)

(He looks into Aringoth's bag and finds a couple of keys. One to the cellar, and one to the safe)

Leonidas: Perfect

(Leonidas waltzes down to the cellar while taking any gold he finds, and uses his life detection shout)

Leonidas: (Whispers) LAAS YAH NIR

(He finds a single signature)

Leonidas: YOL

(Leonidas uses his fire shout to ignite some fluid on the ground, burning the lone mercenary to a crisp)

(Leonidas uses they key to unlock the safe, and empties out it's money. He also finds a bill of estate, which he swipes as well)

Leonidas: Hmm. Interesting

(Leonidas takes out a book from on of his armor pouches and copies a symbol from the bill onto one of the pages)

Leonidas: Hmm. I don't know what that symbol means. But I might find someone who does soon enough

(Leonidas picks the lock on a chest and puts the treasure inside into his bag)

(Not wanting to attract attention, Leonidas opens a door to a sewer tunnel and exterminates some skeevers with his fire spell)

(He then gets out of the tunnel and walks over to the hives and burns about 3 of them with his fire spell, while leaving the rest alone)

(Not too long after, at the ragged flagon)

Vex: Wait, you actually succeeded?

Leonidas: I did. But you don't have to kiss me if you don't want to

Vex: I'd say you earned it

(Vekel secretly waves everyone over as Leonidas and Vex clash with their lips)

Brynjolf: Did I miss something? Or does Vex actually like somebody?

Delvin: Lucky bastard. How many other ladies you been gettin off with, eh?

Leonidas: A gentleman doesn't kiss and tell, Delvin

Vex: Keep up the good work, and there's more where that came from

Brynjolf: Quite the charmer, aren't you?

Leonidas: You saw nothing. Status?

Brynjolf: Word on the street is goldenglow's been hit. Great job

Leonidas: Thank you. And here's what was in the safe

Brynjolf: May I have a look?

(Leonidas gives the bill to Brynjolf, who looks at it and furrows his brow)

Brynjolf: Aringoth sold goldenglow? What was that idiot thinking? He has known no extent of Maven's fury when she's been cut out of a deal, but I'm not certain he'll ever find out. If only this parchment had the buyer's name instead of this symbol. Any idea what this might be?

Leonidas: No. I don't recognize the symbol

Brynjolf: Blast. Well, I'll check in with my sources and speak to Mercer. But for now, you're off to speak to Maven Black-Briar

Leonidas: Hold on. THE Maven Black-Briar?

Brynjolf: Aye. She asked for you by name

Leonidas: Did she say why?

Brynjolf: No. But whatever it is, it isn't a social visit

Leonidas: What could Maven possibly want with me?

Brynjolf: That's between you and Maven. And I'd like to keep it that way. But I wouldn't worry about it too much. Maven's business dealing usually involve quite a bit of coin for her people

Leonidas: Speaking of which...

Brynjolf: Oh! Of course. Your pay! Haha! You're smart as a whip. Keep doing right by us, and you'll be seeing a lot of these

(Brynjolf hands Leonidas a bag of coins)
