Just a Skyrim fanfic: Extended cut

The dark brotherhood

(Leonidas arrives at the mark on the map, but all he finds is an abandoned shack. He uses the skeleton key to go inside, and the door shut behind him)

Astrid: There you are. I was wondering when you'd show up

Leonidas: Who are you? Is this some sort of perverted meetup?

Astrid: By the divines, no. I'm married

Leonidas: Then is it an assassination?

Astrid: No. My plans require you to be alive. That's more than can be said for old Grelod, hmm?

Leonidas: I'm guessing you know I killed her. And who else would come for me than the dark brotherhood?

Astrid: An abusive old hag gets butchered in her own orphanage? Things like that tend to get around. But don't misunderstand, I'm not criticizing. It was a good kill. The old crone had it coming for a long time. And you saved a group of urchins to boot. But there is a slight problem. You see, that little Aretino boy was looking for the dark brotherhood. For me and my associates. Grelod was by all rights, a dark brotherhood kill. One that you stole

Leonidas: Then you were too slow

Astrid: Don't speak in that tone of voice with me. You must repay that kill

Leonidas: You want me to kill someone else. Who?

Astrid: Funny you should ask. If you look around, you'll notice I've collected some "guests"

(There are three people tied up with execution hoods on their heads)

Astrid: You see, there's a contract on one of them, and that person can't leave this room alive. But, which one is it? See if you can figure it out. I will observe and admire from here

Leonidas: Ok. I'll do it

Astrid: Then you know where we stand. Make your kill and we're square. Repayment of your debt is but a thrust of a knife away

Leonidas: WULD NAH KEST!

(Leonidas dashes across the room with his sword in his hands. All 3 of the victim's heads fall off. With that, his eyes transform to a very dark shade. You can hardly see his pupils anymore)

Astrid: My my, aren't we the overachiever. Three possibilities, three victims. Must have been one of them, right? Why take the chance?

Leonidas: So, who was it? Who had the  contract?

Astrid: Oh, no no no.  Don't you understand? Guilt, innocence, right, wrong, irrelevant. What matters is I ordered you to kill, and you killed. You obeyed me

Leonidas: I bow to no one. I killed because I wanted to

Astrid: Whatever butters your bread. Just keep telling yourself that

Leonidas: So, does this mean I'm free to go?

Astrid: Of course. And you've repaid your debt in full. But why stop here? I say we take our relationship to the next level. I would like to officially extend an invitation to you to join my little family. The dark brotherhood

Leonidas: I'll gladly offer my services. Depending on the reward

Astrid: You will be well paid, I can promise you that

Leonidas: Good. I'm in

Astrid: In the southwest reaches of Skyrim in the pine forest, you'll find the entrance to our sanctuary. It's just beneath the road, hidden from view. When questioned by the black door, answer it with "silence, my brother". Then you're in. And your new life can begin. I'll see you there
