(There is a giant ward around the college of Winterhold, courtesy of Ancano)
Tolfdir: You survived. I take it you have the staff?
Leonidas: I do
Tolfdir: Lets hope it's as powerful as the psijics believe it to be
(Leonidas looks around and sees Faralda, Onmund, Brelnya, Orthorn, Urag, J'zargo, Tolfdir, Arniel, Nelecar, Maximus, Lydia, and a number of random guards and mages)
Leonidas: Where's Mirabelle?
Tolfdir: She... didn't make it. When it was clear we were going to have to fall back, she stayed behind and made sure the rest of us were alright
Leonidas: Alright. Lets get in there!
Group: YEAH!
Tolfdir: We'll be right behind you!
Maximus: We can't crack whatever kind of shield Ancano's using to protect himself. It's too strong
Leonidas: I have just the thing. All together!
(Leonidas hits the shield with the staff of Magnus)
(Everyone else concentrates their magic where Leonidas is hitting the shield, and it breaks)
Group: (Cheering)
Maximus: Wait... Look!
Lydia: Not again
(A massive wave of magic anomalies comes out of the college doors)
Maximus: Go! We'll handle these things!
(Leonidas blasts a few magic anomalies with the staff of Magnus before heading inside)
(Tolfdir follows him)
(Maximus, Lydia, Faralda, Arniel, J'zargo, Urag, Onmund, Brelnya, Nelecar, and Orthorn stay with the guards and mages to fight the magical anomalies)
Ancano: You've come for me, haven't you?
Leonidas: Take a wild guess
Ancano: No?
Leonidas: Guess again
Ancano: You think I don't know what you're up to? You think I can't destroy you? The power to undo this very world is at my fingertips, and you think you can do anything about it?
(Tolfdir tries to hit Ancano with a fireball, but it doesn't do anything)
Tolfdir: Spells have no effect!
Ancano: I am beyond your pathetic attempts at magic. You cannot touch me
Tolfdir: The staff! Use it on the eye!
Ancano: That's enough out of you!
(Ancano uses some lightning to hit Tolfdir)
Leonidas: Tolfdir!
(Leonidas tries to hit Ancano with some lightning with the dragon bone staff, but it clashes with Ancano's)
Ancano: Still you persist? Very well. Come then, and see what I can do now
(Leonidas's magic clashes furiously with Ancano's but the eye keeps fueling Ancano's shields)
(Leonidas uses the staff of Magnus on the eye, making it send out an explosion)
(The explosion disorients Leonidas and Ancano)
Ancano: WHAT?! IMPOSSIBLE!
(Leonidas points his sword at Ancano)
Leonidas: Any last words?
Ancano: You think you've won? This is but a min-
Leonidas: Time's up
(Leonidas stabs Ancano through the heart with his sword, killing him)
Leonidas: When will the Thalmor learn?
Tolfdir: You did it! I knew you could!
Leonidas: What do we do now?
Tolfdir: I don't know. Ancano is gone, but whatever he's done to the eye doesn't seem to have stopped. I have no idea what to do now
(A mage appears out of thin air)
Quaranir: We knew you would succeed. Your victory justifies our belief in you. You have proven yourself more than worth to guide the college of Winterhold
Leonidas: What should I do with the eye?
Quaranir: The eye has grown unstable. It cannot remain here, or else it may destroy your college, and this world. It must be secured. Ancano's actions have proven that the world is not ready for such a thing. The psijic order will safeguard it for now. You now have the opportunity to maintain your college and carry on with your lives. You have our gratitude, arch mage
(Quaranir and some mages from the psijic order disappear and take the eye with them)
Leonidas: They probably didn't realize when I hit the eye with the staff, I bonded with the eye. I can still draw power from it
(Maximus comes rushing in)
Maximus: Leonidas! All of the magic anomalies faded away at once. I'm guessing you're solved this little crisis
Leonidas: Yes. The eye is secure
Maximus: And what of the bastard, Ancano?
Leonidas: Dead. I killed him
Maximus: Good
(Leonidas and Maximus shake hands)
Tolfdir: The college is safe again, thanks to your work, Leonidas. I knew you had it in you. I dare say the psijics are right. There is no one more deserving to be the arch mage in my opinion. Here. Consider these yours. And the arch mages quarters as well. I shall be here for advice, should you ever need me
(Tolfdir gives Leonidas the arch mages quarters key and some soul gems)
Leonidas: And one more thing...
(Leonidas uses his magic to combine his dragon bone staff with the staff of Magnus)
(Far away, there is a sorcerer keeping vigil for signs of large scale magic activity)
Neloth: Interesting...
(Leonidas's new staff looks something like this)
