• since now its not just kaoru, but two teenagers, a middle schooler and a florist who regularly pop into his restaurant after hours uninvited, joe makes them start helping him with meal prep etc.

> in the end its usually reki who helps the most bc he actually likes cooking and doesn't just make the same dish over and over like langa does

• cherry does not like it when other people listen to music on carla, because his playlists consist of a lot of carly rae jepsen and he's embarrassed by it

> not even joe knows about this. until one day reki calls "carla, can you please play cherrys liked songs?" from joes kitchen and she starts playing "run away with me" at full volume

— reki very enthusiastically sings along except he does not know the words at all, miya cackles, shadow says something like "i knew your style had to end somewhere" and langa just nods along

> anyways "stay away" reminds him of joe and it takes one (1) listen for joe to piece that together

— he 100% teases kaoru about it

• langa mall grabs

> miya bullies him for it and he doesn't understand why (reki explains it to him but he doesnt stop)

> "its practical." he argues, as the rest of them look at him with a vague expression of disgust

— rekis and joe are the only ones who genuinely dont care 

— cherry still has a bit of og skater elitism in him

— miya is very proud to be a skating elitist

— shadow just thinks it shows how much of a newbie langa is and laughs about it

> "your trucks move. how the fuck is it practical?"

• joe is secretly a sentimental fuck and he has a picture of him and kaoru on their graduation day in his kitchen at the restaurant (bc he likes seeing it, and kaoru never goes into the kitchen)

> reki sees it one day and is supes excited about it and hes like:

"he has so many piercings too! god, they're everywhere! why doesn't he wear them anymore it looks so cool."

"he does."

"he does? how come we never see them?"

"he is still pierced everywhere."

"oh. oh. ouch, doesn't sound fun."

"oh, trust me. it is."

• this is just canon: kaorus the pierced gay, joes the tattoo gay

• reki has a bunch of candid shots of langa from when he was teaching him, yk to try and catch him from a bad angle but he literally looks amazing in all of them

> reki keeps them in a separate folder on his phone and he'll look at them and ignore how his hearts racing

• trans reki anyone? non binary langa? trans boyfriends? who knows

• rekis hair is dyed and langa is appalled when he finds out
