[7 - HAIKYUU!! - YACHI]

• she's a lesbian

> kiyoko was her gay awakening and she had a huge crush on her for most of her first year

— she got over it in her second year and told kiyoko about it when she came out to her

— kiyoko took it well and in turn came out to yachi as bi

— it brought them closer together as friends

> tsukishima is the first person she came out to

— it was towards the end of their first year

— she and tsukki were both figuring some things out and one night they were locking up the club room together. they were the last two left. yaxhi droppped the key and their hands grazed when they went to pick it up so they kissed. neither of them liked it and they both admitted so right after. tsukki said he liked someone else and apologized and so did yachi. as they walked together tsukki mumbled something about maybe not liking girls and yachi (in an attempt to reassure him more than come out for herself) admitted she didn't think she liked boys either. they may have cried a little.

> she comes out to the team in her second year

—  when she finishes her little speech tanaka comes up to her with most serious face in the world and yachi is sure she's about to get hate-crimed

"big boobs or small boobs?" he asks, and this is not what yachi expected at all.

"um, all boobs are good."

"good answer." 

and he bursts into a smile and pats her on the back and noya is suddenly excitedly jumping by her side about how cool it is that they can talk about girls together and then the rest of the team is congratulating her and she's so happy they're so supportive

— she starts crying and it ends with a group hug (and maybe some more crying from tanaka's end)

> she comes out to the (former) third years respectively 

— she tells suga and daichi first when she, hinata and kageyama go for dinner with them one night to catch up

— asahi finds out via noya (dw she told noya he could) and he brings her a gift basket from his family's store as a congratulations 

— she told shimizu last. they video chatted weekly—in case yachi needed any help managing the team and also just to stay in touch—but hitoka wanted to tell her in person, so she waited until shimizu came back home for summer break. they went to a café, sat in a booth in the back of the shop and hitoka finally came out to kiyoko.

• she and yamaguchi are best friends

> he buys/makes her cute things like barettes and keychains bc he knows she'll like them

> their friendship just grows stronger when yams becomes captain

> yachi teaches yams how to do make up

> yams takes her to concerts

• her and tanaka are peak wlw/himbo solidarity

> fr though he will fight anyone who makes her feel uncomfortable in any way

— she learns almost too well she ends up uppercutting a guy from a rival team who wouldn't stop hitting on her and kept saying nasty things about the team

• her and the first years are peak wlw/mlm solidarity 

• she's friends with kuroo

> i think that one day, at a training match between nekoma and karasuno, yachi just so happened to be wearing these cute earrings with cats on them and kuroo came up to her and she was very intimated until he opened his mouth and started asking her where she'd gotten them, since kenma wanted to get his ears pierced and kuroo thought they'd look cute on him

> from then on blossomed a very wholesome friendship rooted in love for all things cute and cat themed

• when kiyoko rekindles with tanaka, yachi is the first person she tells

( > when he proposes!! yachi is also one of the first people to find out )

• there have been rumours about her dating almost every first and second year

> the most widespread ones were tanaka, yamaguchi and hinata

• everyone at school knows not to mess with her, because they know that if they do, about a dozen student athletes and the most beautiful girl at school will come for their ass

• she knows how to play the flute

• she has a thing for glasses

> her and yamaguchi bond over that

• she doesn't brag about the fact that she's friends with all these world famous athletes and ceos when she's older, they all just show up to her wedding and yachis work friends are completely baffled

> once she met up with kagehina for a day while they were in town, to introduce them to her then gf (later wife) and she was so speechless bc when hitoka said they were meeting her old volleyball teammates, national level players are not what she expected
