• iwaizumi laughing about something stupid in their third year with makki and mattsun is what it takes for oikawa to realize that he is maybe a little bit, absolutely and wholly fucked

> oikawa had always joked about how iwa could be considered handsome if he wasn't so grumpy all the time but damn, he hadn't realized how right he was until then

• iwaizumi used to be taller than oikawa, which just makes all of his "shortie iwa-chan~" jokes sting more as they get older

• iwa-chan finds out about the oihina fling at the olympics:

iwaizumi: yeah, hinata's close to everyone on the team. he's got everyone wrapped around his finger, almost, like they all have a crush on him or something. i think he's just really flirty?

oikawa: ah, yeah~ shou-chan does that subconsciously! he's just naturally very charismatic. but also, everyone on your team is his type, so that's probably your issue. he amps it up a bit when he really likes you, if you know what i'm saying?

iwaizumi: ...and how do you know this?

oikawa: rude, iwa-chan! shou-chan and i are very good friends, mind you. but he did the same thing to me when we met again in rio, if you really want to know.

iwaizumi: ...tooru.

oikawa: ...yes?

iwaizumi: have you had sex with one of my players?
