The carriage arrived at the palace a few hours later. Everybody exited except Tae Oh and Hongjoong explained why before Seonghwa could even ask.
Yeosang held his hands and stared at him fiercely.

"You're brave Tae Oh. You're great!" He reminded him. Tae Oh smiled and hugged the prince. He signed a small 'thank you,' on his back out of habit.

"Anytime."

Hongjoong held Seonghwa's hand as they entered the palace and Jongho did the same with Yeosang. Seonghwa let his eyes take in everything, gasping and staring at all the beautiful ornaments and luxuries.

"Wow! Is this your house Joongie?"
"No. This is the palace. We need to greet the Queens."

"Good evening Your highnesses. The Queens are awaiting your arrival," the maid said when they reached the main hall. He lead the way to royal room and opened the door.

The Queens sat on a long couch at the end of the room. They were talking and giggling when the door opened. Soojin beamed and ran towards them, Jiwoo only seconds behind her.

"Yeosang! How are doing? I'm sorry I couldn't come visit," she held his hands.
"I'm doing great. Thanks for asking," Jongho replied. Soojin glared at her son.
"Maybe you should have wrote me a letter if you actually cared about me," she told him. Jongho pouted and went to hug Jiwoo instead.

"So Hongjoong, I heard you had an altercation with the King," she mentioned. The alpha bowed and apologized feeling a little embarrassed.
"No need to apologize. Just be careful."
"Yes ma'am."

"Who's this handsome boy?" Her gaze fell to Seonghwa.
"My name is Park Seonghwa. I'm a fire beta!"
he introduced himself. He's never really got the chance to say his full name and presentation together like that. It made him happy.

"Really? That's great!" Soojin mirrored his enthusiasm even though she didn't know what being a fire beta entailed.

"He's a childhood friend and he'll be staying with me," Hongjoong informed.
"Alright. We're going to eat dinner in a few hours if you want to join us."

Seonghwa stared at Hongjoong expectingly and the alpha chuckled. He was sure he didn't have food in his house anyway.

"Yes ma'am."

Yunho was in his room feeling completely desensitized. He couldn't feel anything and didn't want to do anything either. His mind was still processing everything that had just happened and he was still in disbelief.

At least before there was a thought that it was all just temporary and that they would get back together eventually, but now that was gone as well. He couldn't believe that Mingi would say he didn't love him anymore.

But he didn't say that.
Exactly! He didn't say anything.
I asked him if he still loved me and he had to think about it.

Yunho started to cry again and put the sheets over his face. He cried into his pillow for what seemed like hours. He thought to take a break and gets some fresh air, but as soon as he opened his door, it began to rain. He shut the door and returned to his previous act feeling like even the world was against him.

Yeosang slowly walked up the steps as Jongho held his hand.
"Can't you walk any faster?" He complained.
"Why does this place have so many steps?"
"Because it's a palace. Now hurry up."
"If you're not going to carry me then let me take my time," Yeosang panted.
"Why didn't I think of that," Jongho mumbled. He went down a step and carried Yeosang causing the omega to yelp in surprise.
