Seonghwa was back to square one. A few days ago, he was the happiest person ever, going around town, helping and healing people. Jinhong had even let him wear the white coat that doctors wore even though he was still an apprentice and wasn't allowed one until he graduated from his studies.

He had told Hongjoong all about it and the alpha was happy for him and even offered to make his day better by making his favorite dish. It was a good day.

Now, he was sat on his side of Jinhong's office back to bookwork. He had claimed he already knew it but the doctor was sure he didn't and told him to study it again.
If he wanted to become an actual doctor and receive a white coat, he'd have to take a certain test and receive full marks on it.

Jinhong told him he had until the end of the week and urged him to study diligently. So here Seonghwa was, flipping aimlessly through the familiar pages trying to focus on his studies.

He pulled out his specs and attached the blue rose that came with it, twirling the petals side to side. The lens changed with the action and he thought it was amazing. Jinhong noticed him playing with it as the sound was a bit hard to ignore and he shook his head. He wondered if the beta truly knew what he was doing sometimes.

"Seonghwa. What time is it?"
He jumped a little startled and stood up.
"It's 2:00 sir," he said quickly not bothering to look up at the time.
"And what should you be doing at this time?"
"Checking on patients."
"Correct."

The beta grabbed a few medicine jars and separated them into different miniature cups, making sure to double check before leaving.

Patient 2 was something different. Though Jinhong had told him not to, he had healed patient 2 before but it didn't help much.
According to the doctor and his studies, the patient had a recurring illness. So even if he healed them, it wouldn't do much.

It made him sad but Jinhong had told him that the medicine was helping them, so he diligently tried his best and made sure to always get them to use their medicine.

By the time he was done checking on the patients, it was time for snack. Hongjoong always made sure to pack something for him. With a skip in his step, he made his way to his shared office with Jinhong, but was stopped on the way by a certain beta. All his anticipation and happiness disappeared and he came to a slow stop.

"Cheol is having a headache again," she told him.

Seonghwa was feeling a little brave and tried to stand up for himself.

"Then he should use medicine. I shouldn't have to heal him all the time."

"Medicine doesn't work which is why we come to you idiot. Come on, he's waiting."
She turned around and walked to the lunchroom, a sad and apprehensive Seonghwa behind her.

"Friend! Thank heavens, what would I do without you. It just keeps getting worse," Cheol Su complained when they entered.

"You have to sleep. I keep telling you but you're not listening," Seonghwa told him.
"I'm busy. And you can just heal me."

Seonghwa was annoyed by that but he didn't want to stay any longer than he needed to so he hovered his hand above his head and healed him. At least he tried to.

"That's it? It still hurts," Cheol Su complained when the beta's eyes turned to normal.
"That's all I can do," Seonghwa replied curtly getting ready to leave.

"Stop playing with me and do it properly."
He pulled Seonghwa's arm, causing his specs to skid on the ground.
"I told you there's nothing else I can do," Seonghwa raised his voice becoming a bit annoyed.
