It was finally the morning of the Royal meeting. The King wasn't as nervous as he thought he would be but it was funny watching how nervous Mingi was. The alpha was smart and had looked over the notes a million times yet he still seemed afraid.

"Don't worry. You'll be fine. You're smart. Much like Mingyu."
He pat the alpha's head and began walking, Mingi slowly treading behind him. They reached a rather huge building and were stopped at the gate.

"Kingdom?"
"Jung."
"Assistant?"
"My son."

Both guards moved to the side and allowed them entry. Mingi was surprised to hear the King call him his son. His face was flushed as he walked behind him.

It was a long walk down a narrow and dark path but the light at the end could be seen from the entrance. When they reached it, there was a wide room with a huge round table in the middle, decorated with 9 chairs. Mingi assumed them to each represent a kingdom as they were all a different color. Except the one at the forefront.
The King's sudden laughter interrupted his thoughts.

"Ha! I'm first," he said proudly.
"Mingi. Could you guide me to my seat?"
The alpha nodded and walked to the jade colored royal seat. The King smiled.
"See. You're doing great already."

"My! Your punctuality has improved Woohyung," a high pitched voice came from behind them.

A tall woman with long pink hair stood at the entrance. Her outfit wasn't really on the formal side but she had long been like that and nobody had ever bothered to call her out as she was the Queen of the most successful Queendom. A short man stood right beside her, his presence barely noticeable.

"You're going to need to do better than that Hera," Woohyung remarked with a proud smile.
She walked towards them and Mingi bowed at her. A wide grin spread across her face and she held the alpha's chin up to face her.

"My! Aren't you just a little cutie. Want to have fun with me later?" She winked. Mingi flushed a bright pink unsure if he should actually answer the question.

"I..I I have a lover," he answered bashfully.
The Queen bursted into a fit of laughter.
"Heavens you're hilarious. I have a lover too." She smiled charmingly and tapped the alpha's nose with her finger.

"Where did you acquire such a boy Woo? He's so cute and strong," she turned to the King.
Woohyung once again raised his head proudly.
"My son-in-law."

"Wow. Jung kingdom is in great hands already."
Mingi blushed at that but immediately turned his head when he sensed something. Both Woohyung and Hera followed his line of vision and saw a man wearing all black sitting on his Royal seat. There was a young alpha woman that stood beside him, her outfit similar and all black as well.

"Heavens at least announce yourself when you enter Jung Hyeon," Hera scolded.
His gaze was fixed on Mingi and he displayed a sort of creepy smile.

"A true alpha would've noticed my presence," he said in a low and slow voice.
"Much like this one."
He pointed at Mingi and grinned.

"Say boy. What's your name?"
"Song Mingi," the alpha answered after bowing.
The King's smile faltered and his expression became indifferent.

"Is your father Song Minhyuk?"
"Yes sir."
Jung Hyeon immediately stood up and pulled out a scent stick from his breast pocket.
"Foolish man. Pay him my respects and send my regards."

He gave Mingi the stick with a slight bow and returned to his seat. Mingi wondered what he meant by that and figured the word 'foolish' wasn't actually an insult.

There was a loud clearing of the throat and a man wearing traditional clothing entered. He held his head high and marched to his seat. There was a tall raven haired alpha beside him. They all stared at him quite tiredly as if just his presence was a nuisance. Mingi noticed how the atmosphere had changed as the man sat down in a maroon seat. It didn't seem like everybody else was scared of him but instead disliked him.
