This chapter is mainly Seongjoong.

Hongjoong woke up very early, commending himself when he noticed he was even earlier than the sun itself. The beta was still sound asleep, exhausted from the extra work of the day before. Hongjoong wrapped him up in the blanket so he could be warm and comfortable, not wanting him to wake up and ruin the surprise. His eyes lingered on the beta's sleeping face for a few seconds before he shook his head and forced himself to focus.

Ever since Seonghwa had kissed him almost two weeks ago, his mind hadn't been able to think of anything else and he hated it. Before, he was completely content with the idea of simply being with the beta. He understood that the reason part of him was so convinced that he didn't harbor romantic feelings for Seonghwa was because of the older's past. Somewhere in the back of his consciousness, laid a fear of hurting him by entering into a relationship with him and he'd rather die than to hurt him like that.

Yet now, because of a stupid measly peck, not even a hint of his taste, and Hongjoong was already loosing his values. He knew that if Seonghwa didn't want to do something with him then he'd simply abide by it no questions asked. But it was easy to get distracted, especially with the celestial being that was Park Seonghwa.

He smacked his small hands against his cheeks and huffed his way to the kitchen. Making a cake wasn't as easy as he had planned and he wasn't able to gather all the needed ingredients in time so he decided to bake cookies.

The alpha found baking a lot easier than cooking because as long as the ingredients were correct, it'd still taste fine even if it didn't work out the way he wanted.

The plan was simple. Seonghwa was to have the most enjoyable day possible. So he started on his quest to ensure that would happen, trying his best to be quiet as he mixed different substances together to form a small batter.

By the time the sun had risen completely, he had finished baking the cookies and the beef stew was just about done boiling. He smiled proudly at the taste and extinguished the oven fire to go take a quick shower. A thought to hide the cookies came to mind as he wanted it to be a surprise and he did just that.

When he was done taking a shower, he was a little distressed to find he hadn't brought his clothes with him. Feeling confident the beta was still asleep, he exited the washroom, his towel tied tightly against his waist and went to quickly grab his clothes.

However, as soon as he exited, a sleepy Seonghwa stood right in front of him, one hand rubbing his eye as he yawned while the other busied itself under his shirt.

"Hmm..Joongie..?" He peeked an eye open lazily and smiled.
"You smell good," he mumbled after sniffing in the alpha's hair and briefly scenting him.

The beta walked right past a strawberry faced Hongjoong and entered the washroom, barely closing the door as he did so. The alpha tried his best to compose himself but found it very difficult to do so. He managed to a few minutes later and rushed to get dress so he could plate their food and have everything ready by the time Seonghwa exited the bathroom.

When the table was set, he ran back to the kitchen for some water, juice for Seonghwa, and came back to an impatient and excited Seonghwa sitting right in front of the food. The beta looked up at him and Hongjoong smiled.

"I told you Hwa. You don't have to wait for me if you're hungry. Put yourself first," he pat his hair as Seonghwa picked up a spoon to begin eating.

He sat down to eat as well, his eyes constantly gazing at Seonghwa who was gladly enjoying the food. His lips were pursed and his cheeks were round and full as he softly chewed, proffering a smile when he met the alpha's gaze. Blood rushed to Hongjoong's cheeks, yet he couldn't help the smile that formed on his lips.
