Chapter 98

Yeosang was asleep against Jongho's shoulder. They were in the carriage on the way back to Choi kingdom and the blond was feeling tired and decided to take a nap.
Jongho brushed his hair out of his face and kissed his forehead. The omega looked so peaceful when he was asleep.

There was a small pillow to the side and he placed it on his lap and slowly guided his head to it. A while later, when they reached the town, he told the rider to stop so he could check on the town and ordered her to take Yeosang to the palace.

Jongho hadn't had time to visit the orphanage in a while so he decided to check there first. The place looked brighter than before with a newly added garden and a table to the side of the front door.

He knocked before letting himself in and immediately felt a push against him.

"Mister you're here!" Dam Hee exclaimed.
The alpha laughed at her behavior and returned her hug though it was hard since her head barely reached his stomach. He smelled something different and looked down at her.

"Dam Hee. Did you present?"
"Yes! I'm an alpha now," she announced excitedly.
"Really?! That's good. I'm an alpha too," Jongho said.
"I know. You sound like one," she giggled. Jongho wondered what she meant by that but didn't question it.

"Your maj-Mr. Jong," the old man amended when he noticed Dam Hee standing beside him.

"How's everything going? I didn't bring anything but I just wanted to check on you all. I hope you were safe from the battle," Jongho said as he pat Dam Hee's head.

"You didn't bring any snacks?! BORING!!" Jae Young declared and crossed his arms.
"Don't let me catch you," Jongho warned and ran towards him. The boy shrieked and began running away.

"HELP!! Mister is here to take me away!" He screamed. The other kids that were eating and playing laughed and ran up to the prince as well.
"Mr. mister. Did you bring snacks today?" One girl asked. 
"I want that candy from last time."
"Me too me too!"
They all crowded around him pulling at his pants and raising their hands for a treat.

"He didn't bring any snacks today," Jae Young ruined their fun.
"Aaaauuwww. BORING!!" They all said in unison.

Jongho looked down at all of them, then to the old man and began laughing.
"I see there's a leader here," he said.
The old man chuckled sheepishly.

After urging the kids to go play outside, the old man sat Jongho down to talk to him.

"Your majesty. Thankfully we were mostly safe from the war but we gained a lot of more orphans. We're going to need more resources," he informed him.
"Like what?"
"We need more cots and tables. Also ..more funding. We have to hire another care taker."
"Ok I understand. Be on the look out for one and so will I. And don't worry about money. Twilight is being funded directly by the palace."

The old man nodded and thanked the prince.
"Also..do you think we could have a personal doctor. The medical center is far from here and kids get sick easily, especially now that they're going to be presenting soon."
"Hmm..I'll see what I can do."
"Thank you your majesty."

Yeosang was annoyed. Jongho always did this. He'd be with him all day then at one point, the alpha would randomly disappear to do heavens know what.

He entered the palace and found Seonghwa, San and Hongjoong in the resting area.

"Seonghwa! I haven't seen you in forever," he exclaimed.
"Sangie!" The beta ran up to him and engulfed him in his arms.
"What are you doing here?" Yeosang asked.
"I came to speak to the Queen about my ability but she's busy."
Yeosang remembered and decided now was the perfect time to tell him.
