5 months later ~

Jongho woke up to an empty bed for the millionth time now. He breathed in, feeling the tightness of the bond and breathed out knowing Yeosang was healthy and even happy. It was weird how lively and active his omega had been the past few weeks considering how close he was to his ending term.

Soojin had been worried and ordered for him to have at least 3 maids nearby at all times since he refused to sit still. Jongho was just as worried, maybe even more but there wasn't much he could do. If Yeosang wanted it, then he'd simply abide and give it to him.

He had felt the baby kick a few days ago and was very stunned by it all. It made him realize how real everything was and that he'd soon be a father. He was scared at first but as if understanding how he was feeling, Yeosang had pulled him close and comforted him that he'd always be by his side. He promised him that he wouldn't have to do it by himself.

After washing up, Jongho exited their room and made his way towards the garden knowing that's where Yeosang would be. He found the omega struggling to reach for something as his hands couldn't go passed his knees.

Yeosang darted his head up at the sound of giggling and glared at his soulmate.

"So you were just going to stand there and watch me suffer?"
"I was going to help eventually," Jongho chuckled and picked up the small shovel. Yeosang snatched the item from him and continued the action he was doing before.

"Don't overwork yourself doll. I don't want you or tulip getting hurt."
"You just come up with different nicknames everyday."
"It's fun isn't it?" He smiled.

Yeosang stood up and glanced his soulmate before sharing his smile. It was cute how Jongho always found some way or another to associate anything with her.

He dropped the shovel now that he was done and sighed. His back was starting to hurt and since Jinhong told him not to use medication regularly now, he knew he should take a break.

"I'm hungry."
"You didn't eat?"
"I did. But I'm hungry."
Jongho laughed at that and held his hand.
"Then let's go eat."

They walked towards the palace doors but was abruptly stopped by a serious looking Seonghwa. Yeosang laughed already knowing why he was here and Jongho rolled his eyes.

"Is she he-"
"No Seonghwa. Not yet. You'll know when she's here. Trust me," Yeosang told him.

Seonghwa breathed out with relief. He's been anxious ever since Yeosang had some pains a few weeks ago and he hadn't been there to help.

"Are you hungry? Want to join us?"
"Sure."

The King was exhausted and his executives weren't making it any better. He was starting to feel as though there was no pleasing them as there was always something for them to complain about.

"He's not of Royal blood!"
"But he's bonded with one!" Mingyu shot back.
"And he's a noble. We've been over this. Why do you keep bringing it back?"
"Because it's still written in the records as unaddressed so it needs to be addressed."

The King grew tired of their bickering and slammed his hand on the table, his eyes flashing red. It was complete silence after that and nobody dared to look up at him.

"This is a Royal command from King Jung Woohyung! From here on, none of you shall have any authority to question my oldest son, omega Jung Yunho! He is crown prince and it will do you well to treat him as such!" The King seethed.

He stared down at all of them, a few cowering in fear just from his tone of voice.

"Anyone who dares to do so after today will be recorded as have committing treason and will reap the punishment of it! Understood?"
