Yeosang was brimming with happiness. It was a little past noon and practically every maid and guard he passed by had congratulated him, a few being startled and complimenting his eye color in the process. It brought a smile to his face and made him feel accepted and cared for. Like they had all respected his decision and were happy for him.

A hum played on his lips and his cheeks protruded when he saw that his lavender plant had bloomed. He watered it delightedly, feeling a bit excited.

The garden was beautiful but it was also small. There was a lot of space and he wanted to grow some more flowers. He decided to ask the Queen for permission before picking out what new flowers he wanted to plant. On his way back inside the palace, his face lit up when he saw his friend.

"Tae! What are you doing here?" He walked up to him.

'Congratulations!' The omega exclaimed, his eyes widening when he saw the younger's.

"For what?"
Tae Oh moved back and pat his stomach as an explanation.

"How did you know?"
The omega pulled out his notebook and wrote in it.

"It was announced? When?"
'The day before yesterday.'

It all made sense now why everybody had been congratulating him. He wondered why Jongho hadn't told him anything. The shiny box the omega was now holding glimpsed his eyes and he perked up.

"Is that for me?" He smiled and pointed at it. The brunette nodded and handed him the box. Yeosang guided him to the garden and they sat in the small cushioned area under the shade.

"My! Crystal salt? I read about how good it is for the body but I couldn't find any," the blond exclaimed as he held the pouch. It smelled fresh and Yeosang liked the way it pricked his senses.

"Chai and chamomile tea too? Thank you!"
Tae Oh smiled as a reply.

"But why a journal?"
'So you can write in it of course. I'm sure you'll have great memories you'd want to document.'
"Thank you Tae."

They conversed for a while about their problems, things they were looking forward to and mostly how they were doing. Tae Oh even gave Yeosang a short sign lesson promising a scolding if he forgot again.

"So are you ready for the meeting?"
'Not really but the Queen seems confident and keeps telling me not to worry about it."
"She probably has something planned then. I'm sure it'll be fine. When is it anyway?"
'About a month.'
They both sat in silence for a while.

"Have you told Hyun Ah?"
The omega looked to him a bit surprised.
"I'm not dumb Tae," he rolled his eyes.
Tae Oh shook his head.

"Why? She'll have to know eventually."
'Not until I'm sure. After I've become King.'
Yeosang felt a bit indifferent about the idea but kept it to himself.

"Well you should get going if you still want to see her," he stood up.
Tae Oh looked at him bewilderedly again.

"I know you didn't come dressed like that just to congratulate me and offer a present," Yeosang deadpanned.

The brunette stood up sheepishly, a blush on his face. Yeosang always saw right through him, but he didn't mind. He liked it even. It made their relationship a lot simpler and easier.

A while later, after the Queen had enthusiastically agreed and allowed Yeosang to add more flowers to the garden, he met Seonghwa on his way to town to buy some seeds. The beta questioned his eye color but Yeosang couldn't offer a good enough reply as he was not sure of the reason himself.

"Hongjoong said I smell like sweet blackberries," an exasperated expression screwed on the beta's face.

They had conversed for a while and since Seonghwa didn't have work today, he decided to tag along with the younger to town.
