Hongjoong sat at his desk watching Seonghwa read a book. It was twice the size of his head and the beta claimed it had all the information on how to be a good doctor. Hongjoong had been helping him with his handwriting and spelling and he'd gotten a lot better in just a week.

Seonghwa's hair was black when he woke up that morning after they returned from Jung kingdom. His hands had healed as well. Hongjoong decided that it was because he was drunk so his body had a hard time taking care of itself. It didn't explain why he was able to heal him though, but he gave up thinking about it.

"Hongjoong. I want to help at the medical center," Seonghwa broke the silence.
"How do you want to help?"
"I want to see how doctors work and I want to heal people."
"Do you think you're ready?"
"Ready for what?" The beta asked.

Hongjoong reached out for his hand and held it. The alpha had been a lot more touchy with Seonghwa. It made him feel weird but he liked it.

"Seonghwa. I don't ever want to stop you from doing anything you want to do. But some people are terrible. If they see your abilities, they'll rely on you all the time for it and criticize you if you deny them your help," he explained. Seonghwa thought about it.

"..Will they try to hurt me..? Or take me to .."
"No Seonghwa. Remember I told you. The lab doesn't exist anymore. Mars destroyed it. But, they will try to take advantage of you."
"Why? How?" He asked feeling more confused.
"Some people only see things in a way that's beneficial to them. They don't care about other people's feelings."
"So..what should I do? I want to help nice people like Ha Yeon."
"And you can. I just think you should be a little careful."
"But you're here. You'll protect me right?"
"I always will. But I can get hurt too Seonghwa. And sometimes I have work."

The beta sighed. He was frustrated. Why were people mean when all he wanted to do was help them?
Hongjoong squeezed his hand and smiled.

"Don't worry Seonghwa. I have a plan," he said. The beta perked up.

"I think you should let the Queen know about your abilities and then she can make you her royal doctor or at least introduce you to the royal physician. I'm sure it's somebody she trusts so you can learn from them. And then people can't take advantage of you because you're now an important person."

"Wow! You're so smart Hongjoongie!" The beta stood up. "Let's go. Let's go."
Hongjoong smiled and told him to get dressed so they could go.

Wooyoung was in Yunho's room keeping him company. They were sat on his bed, talking and reminiscing old times. Yunho had lied and told his brother that he was just feeling tired these days but Wooyoung wasn't dumb. He knew his brother was hurting but since there was nothing he could do about it, he simply spent time with him in hopes to cheer him up.

Their laughter was interrupted by an alarming knock on the door. Wooyoung spoke to ask who it was but when there was no answer, he stood up to open the door. When he saw Mingi, he wasn't sure what to do.

"Who is it?" Yunho asked.
"Mingi," Wooyoung answered.
"Tell him I'm not here."
"He can hear you," Wooyoung deadpanned.

"Yunho. Please," Mingi spoke from behind the door and that was all Yunho needed to feel like he was breaking down again.

"I don't care what you have to say. Leave."
His voice was firm but he was already crying.

"I'm sorry."

Mingi began to cry as well and Wooyoung looked between both of them bewilderedly. He didn't understand what the problem could be to make them look like this. They looked like they were both suffering and dying of thirst when there was water right in front of them.
