I woke up with my bed covered in candy wrappers and tissues. London had already left. I was still in the same outfit as before, the Barbie outfit.

I went into my bathroom and took a quick bath. I put on a simple black dress with full sleeves that stopped before my knees. I put on dark makeup and let my curly hair hang over my shoulders. I wore black heels to go with it along with my black ring and matching bracelet.

I walked downstairs to the kitchen to find Oliver talking to Jefferson. Oliver looked like he was dying of boredom. Jefferson seemed to not notice one bit he just continued to carry on with whatever he was talking about.

"Jefferson, who are you giving orders to now?" I asked smugly. Oliver's eyes brightened when he saw me. He now had a smile on his face. He stood up and gave me a quick kiss.

Jefferson looked surprised. His eyes widened and his jaw dropped. "Wait what's going on here?" Jefferson asked getting into my business which I didn't appreciate.

"Jefferson, do yourself a favor and mind your own business." I suggested and walked away with Oliver by my side.

We walked into London's office sitting down in front of her. She detached herself from her computer and looked at us with interest.

"Can you get something for Jefferson go do?" I asked her annoyed with Jefferson bossing everyone around.

"He has a meeting today at noon." London informed me simply. It was only ten right now and he needed something to do now.

"He needs something now, London." I said slowly leaning into her desk. She nodded and looked on her computer for a second.

"What do you have in mind?"

"Hell if I know just get him something to do!" I raised my voice a little demanding for her to find something.

"What do you want me to do? I could make him go pick flowers, go grocery shopping, make another meeting. There's not much I can give him to do." She told me.

"Any of those will do." I told her with a small smile. I didn't care what she was going to have him do. I just didn't want him to pocking his nose where it doesn't belong. "Does he have any other meetings other than the one at noon?"

"Theres one at three as well."

"That's it?" She nodded in response. "I'd just expect there to be more meetings since I've been gone for a little."

"There has been, trust me. But you'll be taking over again tomorrow night, so we shouldn't have too many meetings now."

"Why tomorrow?" I asked confused why it wouldn't just be today.

"Oh, I didn't tell you? There's a banquet tomorrow." She informed enthusiastically.

"I'd hoped since I was ill when the original was supposed to take place I would've missed it." I sighed upset that I'd have to go.

"I know you hate large groups of people, but I promise it won't be that bad." She promised walking over to her bookshelf searching for something.

"You said that the last time." I murmured. I didn't want to think about the last banquet. It was awful. That memory was added to the list of memories that haunted me.

"Let's not bring it up." She ordered harshly. She never had that tone, but with this memory.

"Why what happened the last time?" Oliver joined in reminding us that he was here.

We stayed silent and ignored his question. I walked out the door leaving London over by her bookshelf with her thoughts.

I walked up to my room with Oliver who was confused as hell. I got to my room and looked out my window watching the rain pour down hard. I was sitting on my bed with a blank expression.

Oliver sat there next to me looking at the side of my face. I turned my head looking into his piercing blue eyes. His eyes dug deep into mine searching for the emotions I hid behind a brick wall.

I looked back at the window watching the rain dance. I always thought the rain was beautiful. I thought it was magnificent. It showcased how beautiful darkness could be. In some cases it showcased how destructive and dangerous it could be.

Oliver looked at the window as well probably seeing something different than what I saw. He probably looked at darkness as scary and painful, which was true. But it wasn't always like that.

"Why do you like the rain so much? It's a bit depressing in my opinion." He asked me adding in his opinion that was a bit different than mine.

"It show cases the darkness in way I'm unable to."
