I couldn't fall asleep. As hard as I would try I couldn't. So after my mind refused to rest I just buzzed for Mona.
She came in about two minutes later. She was confused considering it was two a.m. "Is everything alright your highness?"
I sat up looking at her. "No, I can't sleep." I said quietly looking at Oliver rolling my eyes.
"Who's this?" She whispered looking over at him a bit taken off guard. If I was in her position I guess I'd have the same reaction. Shed never come in this room with someone other than either me or London in it.
"His names Oliver. London hired him as a personal guard." I answered shaking my head about to explode with annoyance.
"Well, that doesn't seem like a totally bad idea." She shrugged her shoulders with her lip puffed out slightly.
"Oh, it's a bad idea. It's an awful idea in fact. I don't need some guy that I just met to follow me around everywhere. I'm a grown ass women, I don't need a babysitter. I already have Jefferson on my tail all day. The last thing I need is someone else to slow me down."
"Well maybe he won't drag you down. Maybe, just maybe, you might like him." She suggested trying to show a different perspective.
Oh just like you my dear to look at a situation with such heart aching positivity...
"I doubt it." I rolled my eyes replying after a moment.
"It's not a secret your not a fan of people, but who knows, he might become your friend." She said with a shrug. I just looked at her with a doubtful look.
Become my friend my ass. I haven't even known him for twenty four hours and he's already started to challenge me.
She smiled chuckling to herself clearly entertained telling, "I'll go get you water."
"What the hell is water going to do?" I asked her wondering what logic she's obtained.
She was at the door frame when she turned around facing me shaking her head with pity in her eyes, "I feel bad for Oliver."
"But seriously, when have you ever heard someone say they needed water. Who has said thank goodness there's water. Hmm?"
"Fine then what would you like?"
"Anything. Surprise me." She had a faint smile and walked out of my room and returned five minutes later holding a glass of milk. "Such a cliché Mona."
"Well, you said anything. Your lucky I didn't give you water."
"No, your lucky you didn't give me water." I said sipping the milk keeping eye contact with Mona.
"Night your highness." She said with a faint smile.
"Night Mona."

Of corse an hour before I had to wake up, I feel asleep. I woke up around five a.m.
Oliver was looking out the window. He seemed a bit tired. There were faint bags underneath his eyes.
I got out of bed grabbing a black dress that had long sleeves and it stopped at at mid thigh. The sleeves were lace. My shoes were plain black stilettos. My hair was perfectly straight. I had black stiletto nails. I applied dark matte red lipstick and put on dark eyeshadow.
"Alright come on Oliver." I said leaving my awfully bright room.
"Where are we going?" He asked dumbly in complete confusion.
"To breakfast." I answered back simply with slight irritation.
"Don't you usually eat breakfast up here?"
"Yes, but I thought it would be good to have you meet everyone. Plus, I need to talk to London and see what my plans are for today." he nodded his head and walked behind.
Some guard
