I rushed downstairs only to be greeted by the chaos. I saw Mona running around like a headless chicken trying to calm everyone down. I looked around seeing everyone trying to do fifty things at once. Jefferson was bossing around my cooking my staff.

I shook my head and yelled for Mona. She came in front of me and I started to give my own set of orders, "Please give everyone their own list of what they need to do. Tell them to ignore whatever Jefferson has them doing. Get everything under control. I'll take care of Jefferson."

She looked at me relived that I was getting Jefferson away from them. "Thank you, your highness." She bowed and started to order everyone around like she was the in charge and not that rat bastard Jefferson.

"Jefferson, come here!" I demanded grabbing his attention. He looked at me and walked over curious as to why I wanted him. "Stop ordering people around and take care of what you need to do. I swear every time I turn around your doing something you don't need to do." I ordered him in a harsh and annoyed tone.

He walked away with an attitude, but at the moment I didn't care. I went upstairs to my room to get ready. I put on a long sleeve black lace backless dress. I put on some plain black heels with my antique matching stone earrings and necklace. My had black winged eyeliner and butterfly like mascara.

I went into London's bedroom to see what she was going to wear. She was in her bathroom putting on her makeup. She was wearing a bright yellow sweetheart neckline gown. Her hair was up in a low bun with two curled pieces of hair coming down on both sides of her face. She had on natural looking makeup.

She turned around a gave me a small exhausted smile as a greeting. "What are you doing here?" She asked me sweetly continuing to do her makeup.

"Got sick of being around all the people. Like usual Jefferson was causing chaos." I explained plainly to her with a bored tone to my voice.

"Well, you shouldn't be surprised this happens every time we have an event."

"I'm not surprised, it's more aggravation. I'm sick of his bill shit."

"Well, to be fair you carry more bull shit than he does."

"Yes, but I don't start unnecessary drama." she nodded agreeing with me. I sat down on the chair beside her. I sighed heavily and she looked at me curiously furrowing her eyebrows. "Just tired."

"Of what?" She asked knowing there was more to the story, with me there always was. It was never just being tired or just having a bad day, for me everyday there was something that drug me down.

"Life." I answered plainly. There was nothing else really to say. It was just life. All of the issues and things I'd faced over my lifetime was just too much to handle. A thousand years of story's and things that killed me repeatedly were getting to be unmanageable.

She looked at me with sympathy overtaking every other emotion that hide behind her blue eyes. "I know you didn't get dealt the greatest hand in life, but you have things to be grateful for. Your life isn't easy at all, and I'd never try to downgrade that, but you have a lot of people who love you."

I nodded my head not feeling he need to speak. I got up off the chair and walked to the doorway of her bathroom looking at her one last time before walking out. We held eye contact for a moment before I felt the need to tell her, "I love you, London. If I've ever been grateful for something it'd be you."

She smiled back at me and shared the mutual feeling, "Same here, Raven."

I walked out of her room and went back to finishing up a few small details before the banquet in a few hours.

I went down to the Charles office wanting to talk to him about the security. I walked into his office with my head held high seeing a man in his mid-forties working at his desk. He removed his focus from the computer to me.

I walked over and sat down in the leather chair in front of his desk. He looked at me confused and slightly worried. His brownish grey hair pertly styled, at least what he had left of it. He was getting paler and his eyes were losing their color almost grey now. His body was becoming more frail and looked older than he was. He was starting to become in a the state that Dermot was when he was the head of security.

"How are you doing, Charles?" I asked him genuinely and full of sincerity caring more for his well being than how the security was going at the moment.

"I'm doing fine, Raven thank you for asking. Is that the only reason why you came down here?" He asked me with a hostile tone. Charles and I had an on and off again relationship.

"Are you sure your fine?" I ignored his tone wanting a real answer for how he was doing. I'd never seen him look so defeated and tired. It worried me.

"You have nothing to worry about, Raven." He reassured me with a sweeter and gentler tone. He gave me a small, but fake smile.

"You can't fool me, Charles. I know you better than you think." I told him wanting an actual answer and sick of getting his bullshit responses.

He sighed giving up probably wanting to vent to someone. "Martha is wanting a divorce." He confessed to me holding his hands.

"I never thought she was good for you." I told him getting a nasty and annoyed look from Charles. "Every time things get hard she threatens a divorce. What a women."

"You know every time I try to talk to you, this is what I get. I understand you've never agreed with any of my decisions, but just once can't you just comfort me?" He brought up a new idea that I usually don't go by.

"I'm sorry, Charles. I'm sorry that that bitch you married doesnt know the meaning of marriage. You deserve better." I told him doing the best I could at "comforting."

"Thank you." he chuckled lowly probably not knowing what other reaction to have.

"Now on a different note," I pulled out a piece of paper from my clutch for my expectations on the security. "this is my expectations for the security tonight." He reviewed it quietly and opened his mouth to speak, but before he could get anything out I interrupted him by saying, "It's not an option."

I got up off my chair and went back to the rest of my duties before tonight. Sadly, none of them could've prepared me for what would happen next.
